GUADALAJARA, MEXICO - Get ready to go on a huge Mexican street food tour in the heart of Guadalajara, Mexico! We’ll start with a rare and extraordinary breakfast, then get into the heart of the city at the market, and then proceed on to eating the most insane tortas and Mexican sandwiches, and the craziest street tacos - you’re in for an adventure! Follow my friends: Mexi Papa (mexipapaadventures): Claudio De Angelis Martinez: Fonda Doña Mica - This place specializes in Mexican traditional food and especially breakfast, the highlight here is their tortilla stuffed with eggs, then topped with chicharon, cheese, salsa, and cactus. Mercado de Atemajac - We’re continuing with our Mexican food tour today at a market known for selling bread and carnitas. Claudio taught us about the differences between Birote, Birote fleima, Telera, and Lonche bañado bread. We then continued walking around and tasted Tacos Dorados, and Tejuino - a traditional Mexican fermented corn drink. Mercado Libertad (San Juan de Dios) - Next we’re heading to the heart of Guadalajara and especially the main market in the city where you’ll discover some of the most unique and exciting Mexican street food. El Chivo de Oro - We’re eating the most famous dish of Jalisco - birria de chivo. And this stall is especially famous for their Quesabirria - a tortilla stuffed with cheese and goat and lathered in goat oil. La Torta Loca - Of all the sandwiches in Mexico, few are as crazy as Torta Loca (Crazy Sandwich) - it’s something you have to eat when you’re in Guadalajara. Lonches Rafa - Another sandwich you have to try in Guadalajara is Lonches, and Lonches Rafa is one of the best in the city. Tacos Carlos Suadero - We couldn’t end the day without some Mexican street food late night tacos. This place has a swimming pool of bubbling meat parts and we tried tacos de lengua and tacos de suadero. Best quote, I'm just happy and confused all at the same time! I've followed you for years and went to some of the same places in Malaysia and Thailand. think you're growing a soft spot for Mexican cuisine. While I'm in the Pacific Northwest, my community is 60% Mexican with a large percentage from the Colima and Guadalajara area of Mexico. In fact, Colima is our sister city in Pasco, WA. I see some of these dishes locally, but to see it in that first restaurant is perfect. AND I've been to several of the spots you've been in the city.

Mark, I love all of your videos and how you showcase foods from around the world. However, I’ve noticed that when you eat, you bring your head close to the serving plate, and sometimes food or juices drop onto it. Please remember that the food is being shared with your companions who organized your trip. Wouldn’t it be easier and more hygienic to use your other hand below your mouth to catch any falling food, rather than letting it drop onto the serving plate.

28: 57 I've seen some vendors making huge quantities of food and they somehow end up doing everything evenly. I could be wrong but this does not seem to be the case here with the sandwiches in the middle getting next to no sauce. who dresses a sandwich once width wise Like I said, the camera could not be telling the whole story and perhaps he has a way to distribute it equally that is not apparent from the shot.

i live on the border in El Paso. I LOVE the food in Juarez and I haven't even been to some of the most iconic places there. The one thing that you do that transcends all language barriers and boundaries is the face you make when it's legit delicious and unique. I should just move down there with my cats. lol. Much love and green-salsa-eyed envy, Mark!

Dont try and use the accent of every country you visit. You're American not Mexican, or Indonesian or French or any other country you go to. Just use your normal voice. Trying to say even every day things like cilantro, you tried to say it in a Mexican accent. It sounds ridiculous.

There is a Mexican food truck in Slidell La. Outside of New Orleans La. It is awesome. You need to try it if you are in the area. 551 Gause Blvd. Slidell La. they have a big following. A lot of Spanish people and locals eat there. We are big fans of theirs. It's not Amexrican.

I always enjoy your travels and indulging in the local cuisines. I also love to travel and dine at local eateries. My overriding question is how to avoid food poisoning, especially in warm climates

I don't understand. If Mexico is a poor country, then how can the vendors give sooo much huge portions, for a cheap price Here in the USA, you'd get 1/2 or 1/3 of the portion for $10-15.

Mark has this special ability to make food that looks 10/10 and messes up with his shivering fingers down to a 3/10, then bring it back up to an 8 or 10 depending on his wow or head tilt WOW.

Man when you go from having a bowl of cereal and skim milk to having that stuff for breakfast.
Your stomach may just let you know. What the hell are you doing! And it will make you pay!

I wish there was something you/he didn't like. How one can say every single thing is good with a smile on their face gets a little unrealistic and ungenuine to me after awhile.

I'd have to be drunk asf to eat the Torta Loco, I feel as if it wouldn't be any better

I guess forks and knives are not a thing in Mexico also The breakfast looked amazing. I don't know how your stomach takes all this street food. I guess you are used to it.
