Funny enough the majority of the seafood shown in the video and served in Puerto Vallarta is not from the state. The food in the video is in its majority from Northwestern Mexico and Nayarit. The camaron tostada with that black sauce or salsa negra as it is called is from Sinaloa, the quemadito which has a cheese crust and seafood is also typical of Sonora and Sinaloa. the pescado zarandeado is from Nayarit, the use of marlin and burritos or chiles gueritos with marlin with those sauces are from Northwestern Mexico aka Sonora and Sinaloa, and the fried fish taco is from Baja California. For a state that has a coastline, Jalisco doesn't really have a lot of native seafood dishes. This goes in line with the popularization of Sonorense and Sinaloense style seafood in Mexico. Guadalajara is filled with Sinaloense seafood restaurants. Some of the most famous seafood restaurants in CDMX are Nayarit and Sinalonese style or have that influence like Mi compa Chava or Contramar.

It’s literally almost 1am and I had to get up to make food because this made me SO hungry! This has inspired me to learn how to cook authentic Mexican food, but I’ll never get it right because I’m a white girl!

PV is my favorite place to vacation. We go 1-2 times a year. Try the pulpo (octopus) tacon at Tacon de Marlin if they have it. Its sooooooo good

Vallarta is a special place! Tacon de marlin is a nice little treat for a long customs line at the airport too. Too much good food there. I miss it.

I visited the PV places including the ZR location several times. But the fire cooked fish place north of PV is not my list for the next visit!

Pescado Zarandiado! I don't like fish. Only had it that way once in Nayarit. I will only eat fish that way. The best thing one could ever try.

I like this better than the thai food videos. Then again, I have never had thai food. I love Mexican food though, and this looks amazing!

A lot of people head for the Marlin burritos before they even hit their hotels. It’s like get out at the airport. Hit the Marlin.

The Best Pescado Zarondeado, is by Villa Union South of Mazatlan, Mexico. The second is at Lapu Lapu, Philippines.
