Read all the details about the best banh mi I ate in Saigon, Vietnam: Filmed in October 2014. T-shirts: spaaggetii Man: Do they practice food safe sanitary cooking in Vietnam? If and when I decide to travel there I am worried I will get food poisoning due to transferring of bacteria etc from unwashed hands, uncleanness pots utensils etc. Should I just buy food from well known establishments since my immune system and stomach may not be used to street venue food that is not hygienic? I heard from a friend that even the toilets don't have flushing water and hand taps to wash hands after doing poo or wee. Kinda gross, but I am sure the locals are adapted to poor hygiene. Please respond

filmed back in October 2014, I hope she's still there in Mar 2016 when I'm there Hopefully she'll be using 2 separate pairs of chopsticks, one for cooked food and one for raw. If not I'll roll the dice on trichinosis. looks so damn good not to try You and your wife do excellent work Mark, keep up the great work

It just looks like a french baquette. Once in France i had a what they called Pain American. It was a banquette filled with hamburgers and fries topped with ketchup and mayo. Sounds disgusting but it was amazing The restaurant/stall was called the French Cock. Maybe that explains.

We were in Vietnam in January and tried several Banh Mi in different towns, but the best was in Saigon They are sooo tasty and delicious The bread is just fantastic crusty on the outside and so soft inside, they certainly know how to make the best begets.

Woah i have one question. You said that burger cost you 0. 75 or 16000 vietnamese currency so how do the vietnamese people pay for it like? Suppose even if the 100 vietnamese currency note is the most used/exchanged do they like pay 160 hundred bills?

I've just discovered your videos and website. I am watching through your videos and am loving them. Quick question: You love your chili's - have you ever eaten something that was so spicy that you couldn't handle it? (ie ghost pepper, etc) Thanks

Oh so yummy When I lived in Vancouver, I often went to a little Vietnamese subway shop after I worked, and ordered a sub with pulled pork with very very hot sauce. Just loved flavours of chilly sauce, cilentro and good baguette, I miss that x

I was there around that time last year too Mark. Ha Ha. Man I love those sandwiches, I actually had a hard time finding decent ones like that in HCMC. There are only 1 or 2 places here in Melbourne that make them nice like that: (
