SATUN, THAILAND - Located in Satun, Southern Thailand, Pak Bara is most well known for its pier where you can take a boat to Koh Lipe island. But it s also famous for the Pak Bara Night Market. And we re going on a Thai / Malay street food tour of this delicious and laid back night market. After walking around the exploring, I found exactly what I wanted to eat. You can walk around, buy a variety of different food, and either sit somewhere on the nearby beach, or do as the local do and pull up a mat on the grass to hang out and enjoy some local food. Here s all the food and dishes I tried at the Pak Bara Night Market: Rice and curry - 140 THB ( 4. 66) Khanom krok - 20 THB ( 0. 67) Chicken - 100 THB ( 3. 33) Fish - 50 THB ( 1. 66) Market is on Saturday and Sundays in Pak Bara (about an hour from Satun city. Definitely worth a stop when you re in Satun. Big: My grand children would like to see a video on what young Thailand children like Micha like to eat mine are so fussy. If you could show kids foods other than adult foods. one video would be nice.

finally, Pak Bara is featured in the Satun travel series, one step closer to Tarutao National Park including Koh Adang and Lipe by ferry! many people coming not only from entire Thailand but also from Malaysia especially Kedah and Perlis take the ferry service to go to the islands in the peak season. the Pakbara signage and the swordfish monument had been set up since then including my trip to Koh Lipe in 2014.
the curries sold by the lady are more like the gulai curries emphasising the usage of coconut milk. the sweet and spicy pineapple gulai curry is also very popular in Malaysia as well, depending on the pineapple varieties being used in the dish. this is the first time seeing the savoury version of the khanom krok with seafood and egg toppings as well as Thailand's very first pulled tea/teh tarik display performed by the cha yen man!

Oh my goodness! I am going to try the pineapple dessert. There are so many possibilities. I didn t see many masks. Was this an older video? How did Micah s cat turn out. Do Ying and Micah eat the same food? You guys stay safe and healthy.

mark, the pineapple curry that you had is called PAJERI NENAS in Malaysia. it is normally eaten with rice. but the sweet part of it. that can be adjusted. the egg plant curry is Kari terung in malay language
reply

Mark the pinapple curry is not a desert. we eat the dish with plain rice. in Malaysia we call the dish as Pajeri referring to that specific type of curry. the pineapple can sometimes be replace with eggplant
reply

Pineapple dessert curry or pajeri nenas. Ingredients are pineapple, curry powder, kerisik or toasted dessicated coconut ground into paste, santan or coconut milk, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, star anise and etc.

It's tough to watch this in the morning, when we have nothing good to eat at the house! HA! This all looks so delicious! I love your sustainable container to fill with the different curries. YUM!
