4: 54 you see the lady cook adding salt to a pot with cold water, That is a big No No. That will cause your pan to get pitted from the abrasive salt as you can see by the black bottom of her pot.
Always warm your water first in a pan or pot before you add any salt and stir in to dissolve.
Even if you are using high quality pans that have a protective coating, the salt will eat away at it if you cook in this manner.
This is a sour chicken recipe, but considering that chicken & pork are the 2 most cooked meats, this is a plus to your repartee.
Diana's Moo Moo Dress was also nice, vibrant to say the least.

would love to hear Micah's comments now. he has become very vocal and confident little kid. you are exploring places which might seem a bit intimidating to many just because of media, but im glad we get to see the good part of these countries and their cultures and cuisine. you are helping us put more countries on our bucket list.

Mark, your Senegal series opens a world of simplicity, respect and grace. A very simple yet deep look into the Senegalese culture and cuisine, The juice of the revered Baobab tree is loaded with health benefits, but also spiritual significance. Watching your videos reminds us how connected the world really is.

And there is a narrative that says we are starving in Africa. You guys dont know what you are talking about. Yes we have our challenges but we are not starving. These feasts are normal for us here. Go to any remote village and this is the way we host strangers all over Africa.

It always amazes me how people that have been home cooking their whole lives are so bad at things like peeling and chopping. My parents and in-laws are the same - nice food but made so difficult with blunt knives and zero knife skills.

You can tell Pape has become comfortable in front of the camera. He s probably my favorite food guide Mark has ever had at this point. Kind, knowledgeable and doesn t try to steal the show or be pompous.

Why keep eating with your fingers? It seems very unsafe for everyone to be sticking fingers in the pot. It may be traditional, but folks, forks and spoons are not hard to make.
