Thanks to Majeed and Ernest for taking me on this extreme Ghanaian street food tour of Accra. We had an incredible time eating and exploring Accra Jamestown, Accra, Ghana - We started off this Ghanaian street food tour of Accra in Jamestown, along the coast in Accra. The neighborhood is home mostly to a fishing community, but they also are known for having some of the best boxers in Ghana. We walked around Jamestown, and tried a few snacks and drinks along the way. Palm wine - 2 GHC (0. 40) Egg - 1 GHC (0. 20) per egg Tigernut milk - 2 GHC (0. 40) Kenkey (Kenkey - West African staple made from ground corn) and fried fish - After walking around Jamestown, we found a small restaurant to eat kenkey, a common Ghanaian staple made from corn, and here, eaten with fried fish. The restaurant was awesome, and the owners were very friendly. We ordered some food, and also had the chance to watch some of the cooking production. This was probably my favorite meal of this entire Ghanaian street food tour

Excellent video. Can you imagine the volume of firewood/fuel they must have to procure to do all that constant wood fire cooking? Wood must be a very valuable (and becoming scarcer) commodity. People surviving and thriving in challenging circumstances. Glad you had some opportunity to interact/be shown around by kind local people. I much prefer these types of videos to those where you review an eatery with an established reputation and in a known unremarkable environment. Thank you for doing the 'leg work' and having adventures that bring us closer to the people and are a glimpse into the local culture. My respect. You and your family be safe. All the best.

Thank you for going and showing the cuisine of poor nations. No Rick Steve's here. But I wish you would show also in each poor country one or a few of the more of the modern restaurants. Africans have always said that when white people come, they are interested in exploiting them, the animals or the poverty. Don't embarrassthem. They say its like if someone came to America or go to Europe any only the poor parts of town. I lived in Ghana for four months in 1970 and I ate with my hands about dozen times. In most cases I could have chosen utensils. Also, please don't discourage tourists. I appreciate you

Honest question was there any side effects from all of the food drink ect consumed I have been warned durning the yellow fever vaccine visit by international travel services that you literally sent even safe to shower in the water of the city. it really makes it hard to feel safe making the trip when being alarmed like this by the health Dept.

I love the way Mark interacts with his hosts. He's so sincere and natural and this brings out the spontaneity and the friendly, comfortable, merry and easy excitement, obviously unscripted, dynamics, he creates with the people. This man so naturally immerses with the natives like he's one with them. Admirable.

That's not All of Ghana it's not All poor like we are being shown here. Mark you need to go to the best parts of Ghana why don't you do that? Oh youdon't want to show Ghana in its rich and wealthyenvironment, the green heathy life of the beautifulland. not that poor environment that's not All ofGhana

Your comments are very nice. It saddens me to see that beach full of trash. I hope one day they see the value of that and clean it. Really wouldn't take much. A week or two of hard work, then enforcement of garbage laws. Other than that, I would be happy to visit and try the food and culture.

I want to cry for those women who slaving themselves. Did they dont deserve a bit of happiness? They live to eat and passaway unnotice. Yea that kelewele with pepe not bad. The best one is Laboney junction every night. When I was living in Accra, it was my pickles.
