Badass brothers, Arjun and Nakul Mahendro, co-owners of LA-s Indian gastropub Badmaash (helmed by father/Chef Pawan Mahendro) head out for a night of flawless food and drinks in Downtown LA. Friends Lele Massimini (Sugarfish, Alvin Cailan (Eggslut) and Ryan Aguilar (Badmaash) join the crew too. First stop is Ari Taymor-s, Alma for a tantalizing tasting menu. Next, they grub and grab beers at Texas BBQ joint the Horse Thief at their perfect patio. After getting their second wind, they-re off to Japanese-American bar, Wolf & Crane for copious shots of whiskey. Last stop of the night, takes them back to Badmaash for their MUNCHIES meal; featuring a monstrous mash up of Canadian and Indian inspired chicken tikka AND butter chicken sauce poutine, lamb burgers, chicken tikka naan pizzas with tomato chutney sauce and a fitting finale with Parle G ice cream sandwiches

Hey figured this would be as good a place as any for advice on trying to get a job in a kitchen. I've done 3 months of working in a bar's kitchen that did steaks and the likes but I'd rather go somewhere more I dunno like serious. Somewhere where the food is first and not an afterthought you know? Anyways any advice would be appreciated (I mean more than just drop a cv in, like where I should look. Also, dunno if it means anything but I'm 20 years old.

Samosa is not Punjabi. They clearly have no concept of other Indian states because once they said Indian food, all they could mention was food found in North India. Bengal and South India have food that are pretty complex and absolutely delicious but requires more skills than Punjabi cooking.

Awesome episode with awesome people! This is what Chef's Night Out is all about - people having a great time whilst eating great food. Way to pull it back from the last episode - which was utter boredom.

you are not serving indian cusine bro, you are serving new age punjabi indian cuisine. india is the combination of perhaps 50 distinct cuisines, there is no indian cuisine

Great episode. no hipster doofus LA cooks that you would rather punch in the face rather than go drink with, let alone eat at their eatery
