That last dish didn't look like any Penang Curry Noodle that I know of. Well, I guess that was your interpretation of the dish. --FYI, Penang is not the name of any sauce. It is in fact the name of an island in Malaysia. And they are indeed well known for their Penang Laksa Noodle, a type of curry.

There are so many restaurants in Seoul ran by hipsters so it is pretty cool that they filmed non hipster chefs. This guys are just average and normal Korean guys. Actually they are less cool than normal Korean guys. They are pretty nerdy, unfussy and not hip.

This was unfortunately a very mild night. They didn't capture the spirit of a Korean night out. It would have been more interesting to find a group of corporate workers going out for the night. they know what's up. or fly me to korea.

He said that panang is a kind of herb that goes into the paste. I have never heard that, and a quick google didn't turn up anything. I thought panang is just a red curry with peanuts. In the recipes I find, none mention a special herb.

Best nights i've had in Seoul so far while being here have started with Chimaek and also Maekoeli and pancakes. Can't wait for exams to finish up so I can head out again.
