Holy cow, lol. I have also messaged the US Dunkin Donuts and said the same thing! (and like you, no response. Dunkin Donuts in Korea is amazing, but in the US they always seem stale and flavorless aside from being way too sweet. I've also tried asking McDonalds in the US to make their creamed corn hand-pie they have in Korea a nationwide (or at least a South Eastern region) thing in the states. The creamed corn hand pie was a seasonal release in South Korea last year, but it was delicious and was a wonderfully nostalgic taste for this out of place Southern girl. US Baskin Robins really needs to up their game too. Korea has some of the best flavors over the years (and some of the worst, but still fun to try)

When you see how on-board and committed every cook and employee was to going to Korea together, I think it shows how successful he is not only as a chef and a colleague, but as good leader. And the fact that he went back to visit his mentor it also shows how sentimental and appreciative he is of his roots and relationship with others regardless of any language barriers. Most people would accept that their training is in the past, and easily accept that any relationship that they had expired and feel no guilt with facing that fact. I sure have convinced my self from feeling guilty by telling myself, -Oh but I'm so busy- as an excuse to not see my past teachers and many of my high school friends.

This would be a great scary movie look -It's starts off with a normal day and they get all there stuff and leave to Korea and as they get off they go to eat at different places but they run into this one place that was way different from the others the Chef was a cannibal! Eats kids so the chef kidnaps the kid and the mom and dad find out it was the weird chef and try to get there kid back but they soon find out it's a trap and they have to find there kid and get out but the mom and dad die and kid escapes in a truck that's on the main road and the camera zooms out slowly and in big word it says to be continued

I don't understand all the hate towards the guy. It wasn't fair that they basically forced them into a random documentary they weren't even aware of, and that they were put onto this tour they didn't sign up for. You can tell he's just gloomy because of that, but otherwise notice how he glowed up and was smiling when he was just with his wife talking to the chef. He has every right to show his displeasure, he isn't a trained media figure, he's just a restaurateur. I'm sure anyone else would be in a bad mood if they had a whole trip planned but had someone they don't even know hijack the plans.

WOW I'm so surprised how people are so negative towards John. I thought John was very respectful and calm. even chef Im said that he had calm personality even when he met him 7yrs ago. Maybe my perspective could be different because I'm Korean and also fully understand what Im said(he uses kind of vague words in Korean when he speaks) I felt like John was a bit calm and doesn't express himself very loudly because he's the one trying to learn and also respect the Korean culture. (or maybe that's just his personality) I thought It was pretty good episode and kinda make me miss my country lol

I love Korean food and unfortunately have been dragged to Parachute twice. It's awful. Their space is one of the most pretentious things ever (from the obnoxious lighting to the cafeteria style seating to their small plates drenched in doenjang. It boggles my mind that it still has a Michelin star and is the only one in the city since Vie that I've disagreed with. Do yourself a favor and go down the block to Honey Butter Fried Chicken if you want a great meal.

I don't understand the woman's obsession with calling everything fresh like it's a revelation to her. Of course it is, you bought it live from a seafood market. You can do that in any place in the world. You can go to any state in America that's on the coast and find either farmer's markets or seafood stands where you can buy seafood that was caught an hour ago

Was he named after Daewon Song, the skateboarder? Most of the time, I've notice, with east Asian mother, if the father is Caucasian, then children look Caucasian. If you saying I don't know what I'm talking about, well I know a friend who has 5 kids and only one of them look Asian, rest look Hispanic or White.

guys chill. the -white guy- is just documenting his journey of going back there in his skin. not everyone needs to be an energetic action bronson. not everyone has the same character or personality. he is calm and i think balanced out the very fast moving vacation they took.
