Is it ok to use long grain rice? My family uses long grain rice (Basmati) but I'm wondering if I should just get short grain rice. It'd be cheaper to just stick with what my family uses, but will it impact the flavor at all?

I came to judge his kimchi fried rice and I would say it's spot on. I do prefer to stir fry the kimchi with vegetable oil and some soy sauce. Then add in pork/spam and then the rice.

Let's be honest. Non-Korean don't have to palate to even begin to appreciate kimchi fried rice. The butter and bacon helps them a bit but siricha, gochujang, it's all oriental to them.

I do the same thing except I add some chopped see weed, layer it with mozzarella slices, and put it in the oven for 10 minutes. Learned this from my grandma: D
