Everyone watching this should understand that spitting wine during tastings is 100% normal and fully expected. You can be a teetotaler and still enjoy wine. It's considered really unprofessional at wine tastings to get drunk, and it's impossible to stay sober if you drink everything you're tasting--so everyone spits. So stop down-voting on this one point! It's not only normal, it's a GOOD thing. ---Edit: Also, it's not like professional alcohol purveyors are unaware of or insensitive to alcoholism. Someone in this profession who is open and cautious about their history with alcoholism, and is careful not to drink even when engaging in a professional tasting, is looked at with respect. At least in my experience.

You people are rotten and bitter (just overly hardsh. Im an Oregonian, and this entire series is a truly special treat. I love love love it! (With the exception of the stripper part) And Gabi is a very fine person, and fun, cool, kind, bright lady. The fact that she doesnt drink wine doesnt make me enjoy it any less, and thats just the difference between me and all the negative people. Try to be impeccable my friends. TRY to be nicer! And enjoy this free video series that others worked hard on. One that Ill always cherish, being from Oregon. Peace!

Ignorant and disrespectful to call this Pinot Pioneers. None of these people were part of the group that established Pinot Noir in Oregon. To make a video with this title and not even mention Richard Sommer (Hillcrest, David Lett (The Eyrie, Charles Coury, Dick Erath (Erath) and Dick Ponzi is misleading and shows how shallow Munchies is and how this host in particular couldn-t be bothered to research the real Pinot Pioneers.

If u dont drink, why the heck did you make this video. Srsly just let someone else do this episode pls. It just makes no sense. Just like to let a vegetarian try to host an episode about meat cuisine. -I don't eat chicken meat, but I think I can chew them a little bit in my mouth then spit it out and talk about how good that chicken is. -

I've only been into wine the last couple years, and that terracotta stuff looks fantastic. You could try a new wine everyday from Oregon and not run out for a long time, especially if you combine it with SW Washington and Walla Walla. I may need to drive out and try that guys unique to the region approach.

some people dont realise that spitting wine is an actual thing to do, especially if you are going to drink lots. you still get the taste but wont get drunk as fast. though people only really do that when they are going to taste multiple types of wine. -its also a preference thing some people spit or swallow: D

Kind of a slap in the face to the people that make the wine when you just spit it right out. I'm kind of with other people. Why go to taste wine when you don't drink or have a problem with alcohol? Vice and Munchies has a slim amount of good shows and needs to get better people. Get it together.

She is slightly annoying, sure, and we all agree that a recovering alcoholic shouldn't do a segment on drinking alcohol. BUT, she's doing a really good job of giving honest and descriptive feedback on the wines, without fear of offending the winemakers, and I kinda like that about her.

All of these comments about the host are so judgemental. I think she's great, she seems very genuine and down to earth and just generally a cool girl. The fact that she is a recovered alcoholic means next to nothing. Even if there is an episode about wine. Smh viewers, smh.
