Philadelphia's famed chef of Zahav and Goldie puts it all on the line to prove that you can make hummus in five minutes. All you need is a food processor, some chickpeas, and tape to secure your hand to your head

Since it seems like when you put the word Israeli and hummus next to each other it absolutely throws some people off the deep end; any self-respecting human would know that hummus is available all over the world. No one loses their mind when they call it Italian sausage but it's made in the basement of some butcher in Brooklyn. --Chef Solomonov, however, is soulful, constantly self-improving, and, for a chef from Philly, is putting in the work. His restaurant, Zahav, is fantastic. Brilliant middle-eastern flavors, rustic with contemporary culinary techniques and ingredients. The meat dishes cooked on hot coals are mouth watering. If you're planning a stay in Philadelphia or not a far drive, find a way to enjoy this restaurant! --I'd argue the content was a bit gimmicky though.

I am from Israel. I came only for the comment about hating us xd. we didn't invent anything my grandma ate it before there was an Israeli country. but we changed something and added toppings. I agree it's not invented in Israel but it's definitely part of our culture. generation of my family (who came from Turkey and Syria) ate those dishes and we are going to keep eating them for many generations in Israel. peace and love everyone: )

Everyone complaining about how Hummus isn't an Israeli dish is an asshole for intentionally missing the point of this video. We all know that jews eat some of the shit arabs eat, so just go ahead and say what you're really mad about: Everything you can do, the chosen people do better. In less than 5 minutes. With one hand.

The moment I heard -Israeli hummus, - I stopped the video. You can tell this guy is a clown. Some white people come from Europe to settle and occupy another people-s land and all of sudden, a food eaten my millions for hundreds of years becomes -israeli? - Get WAY TF outta here, clown.

This is dude keep saying israeli hummus, Hummus is palestinian dish that the israeli took off. They did not only take the land they stole and claim the cuisine too. While they keep on destroying the palestinian culture and identity, this should be time for reconciliation.

Dislike for heavy handed salt user's, disregarding if the mineral is from the Ocean or not. -- Especially since the dude is using only one hand, I mean taste before you go tossing meager amounts in the food processor. -My gears have been grinded.

I have no political opinion on the subject, but all these commenters getting mega-triggered over him saying -Israeli Hummus- are really making me want to call all hummus -Israeli Hummus- from now on. It-s just good food, who cares what you call it

Since when was hummus Israeli? It's existed far before the creation of Israel. The flavours are also Middle Eastern, not derived from settlers that came from Europe Post WW2. It'd be far more apt calling it Palestinian at the very least.
