I mean. .. I get what you're going for, but who the hell calls this a freezer clean out when no one is going to have these ingredients just sitting there unless they were going to make it in the first place. Clean out your freezer leftovers is like, using frozen mashed potatoes to make a pyrogi filling and use that cup or two of flower to make the dough or spaghetti that's frozen made into a frittatta.

That's a lot of shrimp paste she threw into the sambal. - I will normally use 1/4 - 1/2 of it. It's salty and pungent, taste and smell pretty strong. So be careful using the shrimp paste! --P. S. those are probably what south east asian got in their freezer lmao

The editing in this was great lol. --I need to give lemongrass another shot. I made mussels with it in the broth once and it was crunchy and weird. I think I didn't peel enough off or I needed to cook it longer. - -Looks damn good, thanks for sharing. -

People are jerks, too much negativity. I totally have shrimp stock and coconut milk in my fridge. If you don't, then make your peas and tater tots, you don't need a cooking show to show you how to put potato gems in an oven. I'm having Laksa tonight.

Even as an Asian American that cooks Asian foods pretty often, fresh lemongrass and galangal are things that I go out to specifically buy, not have -leftover- or on-hand. ---Hell even the shrimp paste and mint, I don't currently have stocked.

Alternatively, I can just saute some vegetables and toss in the shrimp and make an easy shrimp stir fry. OR I can throw it in a skillet and make fajitas. --No person looking to make something easy to eat would ever make this complicated dish.

This is great, I have four lbs of galangal in my freezer, and a ton of shrimp shells. Don-t have fresh lemongrass, but I have lemongrass paste in the fridge. I might be able to make this entirely from pantry w/o going to the store! :)

Funny how all the crap she's talking about people having leftovers in their fridge but almost everyone in the comments section have none of these things in the fridge. The editing in this video is really weird too.

I was expecting a magical meal made out of peas, a sausage and oven chips, when it said a freezer leftover recipe - better go check my other freeze for galangal, lemongrass and prawn shells.

In times of corona, I for sure have fresh herbs/limes/chillies/sprouts/galangal always at the reach of my hand_not. Noodles and coconut milk yeah, but the rest is just for the tone deaf
