Danielle Spencer, pastry chef of Brooklyn s Win Son Bakery, believes that a 13-inch metal mixing bowl can seriously improve your baking workflow. Danielle extols numerous benefits of this bowl, like its affordable price, its convenient size, and its helpful features like the flat bottom and large surface area. All of these factors (plus more) make Danielle s case that this bowl helps you work smarter, not harder, in the kitchen

This is actually very helpful for beginners like me. I don t understand the hate. This bowl is fr more ergonomic than the narrow ones. And it s easier to knead them there too without having to transfer them onto a counter. (Saves u time cleaning. Lol) I ve tried using both, although not metal since I just use whatever I have in the kitchen, and have used those techniques naturally (u just start noticing the convenience of a wider bowl without rly thinking abt it. And based on experience & AFAIK, she s speaking the truth. All she s doing is showing us to work efficiently IF we re too broke to buy the expensive stuff and IF we want to. What s with the hate?

I totally disagree, I stand mixer is more efficient and more than one bowls are needed if you bake a lot. What do you do with one bowl in which your dough is resting when you have more to bake? Also, for people with arthritis, a stand mixer is very important. What if you make a cake and use the bowl but you also have to make bread for the family. ONE bowl is NOT enough in a kitchen. I do not want to spend hours between bakes and then wash that one bowl to be able to get on with the next task. I like to have some time to myself away from the kitchen.

Well. It might be convincing to people not able to afford a stand mixer, but to me it wasn't. May bosch mum comes with a mixer, meat grinder, blender, various grating devices and more. It costs about 300 and is helping me in the kitchen for more than 5 years now.
So, yeah thanks but hard pass

This comment section. smh, haha. The title is a bit much, but this is actually really solid advice for a beginner or someone who might be interested in baking something, but doesn't want to over-commit by buying expensive tools. Thanks.

A baker's savior is a stand mixer. way easier and more time efficient. No chance one bowl can replace a stand mixer or a set of multiple bowls. Maybe if you want to work five times as hard and take five times the time.

Metal bowl is a baker's savior Wow what a statement.
I'd rather use a stand mixer just to spend time one something else. And I'm pretty sure the end results will be the same in both case.

Stand mixers do save a bunch of time and energy. But hey, if you want to do it all by hand, that's great too. Just think you could be using your time for something else.

Sorry, can't trust a baker that looks malnutritioned and might've appeared in a 1990's HBO documentary about heroin and people living in abandoned tunnels.

She lost me at Working smarter not harder I mean your doing more work with your hands then you will by pushing a button an pouring ingredient in a bowl but ok.

She was probably pretty. but then cut her hair like she s a balding 60 year old. to look hip, cool and different. why would one do that to their self?
