I swear it s been a decade of Glorifying and publicising lionfish culling with hardly any mention of the awful marine laws these countries have that have been wreaking havoc for far longer than lionfish have. Here in the Caribbean, this sort of virtue signalling lionfish media frenzy has really obscured the big picture and the fact all of these environmentalists are working against a force far larger than an invasive species that has the powers to implement shit policy and turn a blind eye to things that do far more damage than lionfish do. Keep culling lionfish and talk about it, don t get me wrong, just really wish it s not the only thing we keep talking about when it comes to Caribbean marine laws or lack there of along with bad fishing practices and infrastructure.
The governments did the leg work when crippling their reefs, the climate enabled it, and the lionfish will finish everything off
