T Moko tattoos, mud baths, mussel harvests and a H ng cookout. Matty gets the full M ori experience on New Zealand s North Island with master chef, Morgan McGlone. My mother and I used to work along side a few of the people who keep aunties garden in shape today. Its great to see people giving back to the land and such a good way to explain koha. Kia Ora!

This dude sucks compared to Action. In every way. But I understand why Action wouldn't let a food network completely ravage his life flying him around the world to do stuff like this. Takes away from his own art. But Matty doesn't have his own artist career. This is his life. Being an image that can be exploited by food networks.

the chatgpt writing has really improved the quality and vibe of mattie's videos! i really like when it feels like a grade 8 book report / speech it's much better than mattie's genuine unhinged joyful silliness, who needs writers? this, this is better.

I would be terrified to eat anything boiled in whatever that pool was full of. 700 years of cooking who knows what IN who knows what is frightening. Maybe it's black because it's 700 years of meat juice. My phobias are having backflips, lol

Nga Mihi Nui, Kia Ora, Oh hell yeah, love it when our beautiful country and my people are showcased, Whakawhetai Koe Matty.
Makes me proud of my culture, we aren't much, but we do our best.

10: 38 nice. Getting pretty tired of this, although it helps you size people up almost immediately. Matty, chill with the self hatred / hatred of your ancestors. You're better than this.

If you found this interesting, please help support Maori artists as they are often traveling and performing! Okereka Dance Company specifically highlights the strength of Moari women.

I've been waiting for this video. As someone who has followed Matty for a very long time when i saw a snippet of my culture in the intro, I was so excited! Tumeke Matty

Great episode! Also, for the life of me, can someone pinpoint to the artist and the title of the soul tune at the start of the video where they ride the sleighs?

Being from California - hastings and hawkes bay was some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen. My dream is to move there one day and to raise some animals

Her comments on Christianity and it wrongfully putting Mowry women at a disadvantage is not correct. To have faith is not wrong, to believe in God is not wrong.

As a kiwi, them mussels are just on another level back at home. Them things are massive! Everywhere else in the world just serve tiny tiny baby mussels.
