Creamy, delicious and pretty darn simple. So apart from someone making it for you - what else could you want? Hollis: i had to pause the video for a chat with y'all. i too love orzo, bacon, parm, cream, garlic. this isn't a recipe, it's a white witch's brew. (as to that hunk of parm -- you also get the rind, Sam -- great for soups, braises, etc, as i'm sure you know) no asparagus, but i always have frozen peas (they're SO versatile. i guess peas aren't traditionally according to Hoyle, too. or are they? well, i add them because i can! and they work. btw -- isn't bucatini supposed to be the designated pasta for this sauce? anyway, isn't all of food preparation just infinite variations on some basic strictures: salt, fat, acid, heat.

You forgot to feed the cameraman! I literally bought orzo yesterday for the very first time at Trader Joe's, I will try this easy peasy recipe for NYE! I haven't attempted carbonara before because I didn't know how to incorporate the egg. Is that heavy whipping cream, can I use whole milk?

Im late to the party but no one else was freaked out by the woman randomly walking across the screen? Had to check and rewatch it about 4 times to confirm it was in fact no ghosts in my home. Anyways, new subby! Quite inspired to cook

Were the entirety of the refrigerator foraging, package opening and utensil searching edited from this disorganized fool's presentation, only a concise, informative, 3-minute video would remain.

Traditional Carbonara does not have cream. Done right, the egg, cheese and water from the pasta pot are more than adequate for a creamy sauce. That said, I like what your doing.

Oh Junior, it pains me to think you will grow up with your Father's impatience. Please slow down and be kinder to YOUR children.
