Here's an easy NYE appetizer for you: crispy oven baked chicken wings - that I almost ruined. Darrell: Another killer video! Binging all your stuff for weeks now and still not through it all (I even found the Cox CA vids)Question: Could one mix the sauces before tossing with the wings? Assume so - just didn't know if there was a reason you did it the way you did. Also - could you link to the ingredients in these? Specifically the Chili Sauce you used? Would be appreciated!

This may be my favorite episode by far, absolutely HILARIOUS! Literally had me laughing the whole episode so thank you for starting off my Monday so great! Also, do you make your own pesto, and if so think you could do a video of you making pesto? I know there's a shit ton of pesto videos out on youtube but I've made a ton of your recipes, sauces, drinks, etc. and they have all been amazing so I trust you more than anyone else! Hook us with a bomb ass pesto recipe!

I know I'm a few months late to this video but what I dig about Sam is that he is real. I would have gone through the same shit storm and probably tore the thing off too. I have one in my house that, once it's set off, I can't make it stop. The problem with it is that it's 12 feet high and I can't reach it without a ladder.

Sam, I love your videos! I am envious of your outdoor cooking area! I just watched this video, and the wings with the sweet chili sauce and sour cream look amazing. What brand of sweet chili sauce do you use? Also, any idea time-wise when you may be launching your line of knives? Thanks Sam, and keep your sense of humor!

lol. when I bake/cook things that might set my smoke detector. I used to use plastic wrap and an elastic to cover it. Now I have one that I can just remove and tuck away in a plastic bag until the smokiness is over. I do like the honesty in your videos. Those flavours looked amazing. Thanks again for another great vid!

Thanks for being real with your audience. Anyone can make a pleasant edited video (im sure there were some edits) but it take a real professional to put out an authentic product. Oh, and those party wings are now on my favorite party snack list. to be made soon! I'll just be sure to disable my smoke alarms first. ;)

I get the anger and frustration. I'm a 70 year old Vietnam veteran with PTSD and a host of other issues. I just changed the batteries in all seven of our smoke detectors today after one of them, who knows which one, I'm deaf as a post, decided to sporadically beep all night long. Fun night, that. Wings looked good.

Add (aluminum free) baking powder to the wings before you put them in the oven. The baking powder apparently drops the temp at which the maillard reaction happens (browning and crisping. I don't know the full science behind it, but have done side by side tests and it really works.

Heres a tip for you. My baked chicken wings have received critical acclaim. I learned an invaluable trick from Alton Brown. That trick is to steam them first so the fat renders. Then bake. Perfect every time. You cant really tell the difference from deep fried.

Absolutely the best of the videos I have watched. Had to pause it a few times to recover from laughing. LOL then the interlude with him admitting he ripped it from the ceiling and smashed it! OMG priceless. Oh and the wings do look good. :) hehe great stuff.
