So, I made this the other night with my husband. Followed this recipe. I started cursing Sam about halfway through my grocery store trip because he didnt leave any amounts in the list of ingredients on this video. Then I got home, and started watching the video, and realized he didnt specify amounts DURING the video either. I tried looking it up on his website. Couldn't find it. This man had me watching his video in slow motion trying to calculate how much of each ingredient he used. In the end, I just winged it. And in the end, it turned out great. Maybe he purposely doesnt tell you the measurements so you'll experiment a little more in the kitchen, or maybe he's just a dick. Probably both. We still had fun though. :)

Accent wise it's more acceptable if you try to replicate an accent of someone of your own race and despite vast multiculturalism in UK and a lesser amount in Ireland, English and Irish accents would be viewed as white by a foreigner so it's ok to take the piss out of them when you're white. When you start trying to emulate a different race's accent it can come across as mocking/racist even if the intention is not there at all. Being Irish myself, there are hundreds of different accents in this tiny country and if I was to take exception to anyone trying to take one off I'd be permanently disgruntled! Sometimes you just have to take a slagging, aka laugh at yourself.

Hi Sam, Great video. So true that top dish in UK is Chicken Tikka Massala and has been for years. Nice British (English) accent. But noticed you didn't try the Indian accent. I have an in for you on that one. As a Welshman with an Irish background your Irish accent was really good. However, you could address your concerns about attempting an Indian accent 5. Try doing a Welsh accent on top of your very good English accent. Why? Because most of my English friends that try to do a Welsh accent always sound like they are from India FFS. Makes me laugh every time. So your Welsh accent might be the same LOL.

Sam the reason why people take offense to an Indian accent more than an English accent is because English is English and the Irish speak English. Indians have dialects (ie Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Gujrati etc) that does not have English as the main spoken language. If you did do an Indian accent, its more mocking of someone who is speaking English as their second ( or third or whatever) language whereas the English accent is the actual way they speak in their country as its their official language. If you think about the flip side its like a person who speaks Hindi with an English accent.

There isnt much of a difference between you and an English person in terms of societal privilege in America. Other groups of people, there is a much bigger difference. Sucks, but there you go. You can either ignore that and focus on what you are being prohibited from saying/doing, or you can think about others and try to understand the impact your actions have on others. How in the hell does this guy run a restaurant, he seems like one of those guys from kitchen nightmares, he couldn't even show how to make your own garam masala. He is so amazed by everything he does its so cringe worthy. He has no idea what hes talking about, Chicken Tikka Massala is what it says, Tikka Chicken in a Masala gravy. Traditionally bright red, creamy and very mild. And the way you keep brushing more and more of the tikka mix on while cooking is crazy. Sam, i'm going to make this shit at my next grilling party. Given that I am indian, I'm going to say Indian accent by you is racist. White accent by you is not, (any Western EU countries - why? duh. White Asian accent by you racist. Black accent by you is racist. South American accent by you is racist. Each region in the world gets their own accent which is okay to do if you live in(came from) that region. Everyone else is NO NO! Cheers my man!

I haven't seen a more screwed up chicken tikka recipe in my life. Nobody eats tikkas with raita. tikkas are supposed to be had with coriander mint chutney. Raita always goes with Biryani. Also, chicken tikka masala is a thick gravy based dish accompanied with Naan(Indian bread made of refined flour) not with rice. Basting is to be done only with butter not with frikin raw batter on top of half cooked chicken

I haven't seen a more screwed up chicken tikka recipe in my life. Nobody eats tikkas with raita. tikkas are supposed to be had with coriander mint chutney. Raita always goes with Biryani. Definitely authentic recipe however as an Indian I have to critique you. This is not tikka masala, this is just chicken tikka which is just a grilled item. Chicken tikka masala would have those grilled chunks being served in a curry with a gravy/ sauce. Also next time get some black salt kala namak and add that to your raita to make it real authentic! Keep up the great work
