Surf & Turf foil packets on the grill - it doesn't get easier than this, EVERYONE should be able to make this! It is a convenient way to cook but everything tastes the same. I do the surf separately with garlic, lemon/lime zest and herb butter. The beef takes more time and the shrimp ends up overdone in the same package. I think Lewis bit you cause he's angry that you didn't use Old Bay on the shrimp. That's a crime where I'm from. Old Bay is like the WD-40 of food. It works well with just about everything but sweets.

Goes without saying yet another banger video and I'll definitely make this quick and easy gem.
However, one of the most interesting things I've ever learned about you is that you used to have a Briard! I had one years ago that actually came from a breeder near LA. He was tawny and an absolutely amazing dog. At roughly 95 lbs he thought he was a lap dog and had no clue how big he was but such a gentle giant. Anyway, it was great to be prompted with great memories when you mentioned that fact so just had to share and say thank you.

Tin foil dinners were the staple of overnight campouts when I was a Boy Scout. Love this! I mean, mine were mostly hamburger patties and sliced potatoes and carrots, but as I got older, they got more adventurous, like dicing the taters and mixing them with the meat, or a boneless chicken breast and rice. Never got to the level of steak and shrimp, though. Awesome video!

As always you take it to next level growin up in boy scouts we always made hobo meals with foods in foil u can't go wrong, u were right Louis didn't mean to bite u that's a tender spot hope it chills out soon for you Louis is a good name it's my middle name also Lol!

I made a pork shoulder in foil the other day. Five layers of foil next to the copious coals of a giant scrap wood burn fire. Four hours was really good. Five hours would have been incredible. It doesn t get smoker type flavor but you get to build a giant blazing fire.

I do this, but I replace the steak with a sausage like chorizo or kielbasa. I also throw in a few par-boiled tiny potatoes. It basically makes a Southern Shrimp Boil in a pouch. SO good. You can also cook this in the oven if you don't have a grill.

Not bad, but your chef hands need some heat training. Maybe do this with par soaked rice, to soak up all that liquid? Also, corn Cobb isn't the easiest to stab and release with a fork. maybe yellow bell and asparagus next time?

My Son went to foil.
Sometime he over does it. and it tastes like a boiled meat my Mum used to make. Yuck.
Foil is great if use right.
Your dog is getting old and deserves some space Dude.
Love you guys. Peace.

Of course Louis reacted the way he did. how would you like to have someone getting right in your face just after enduring a teeth cleaning at the dentist. He was probably like Get the hell away from me, I'm in pain ya shmendrik!

It's a Chihuahua. That's why it bit you. Chihuahua's are 100% evil. They actively want you dead; moreso than the meanest cats.
It's a breed that we'd all be better off if it were eradicated.

Dogs are just as much of a carnivore as we are Sam. Feed your canine raw meat, and you'll never have to get his teeth cleaned again. Or get sick for that matter.

If you drop kick Louis and punt him across the yard he probably won't bit you again. What are you going to do when he bites a toddler? Give him more kisses?

Let's just take a moment to appreciate how much time and work he put into this video? It's amazing, and I think they deserve so much more than that 1: 34

Looks fire as always. I'd love to see what you would do with country style ribs (not like baby back ribs more like double bone pork chops but cheaper)

Sam, I am currently without a grill - what would you do differently, or what oven temp would you use? Thanks so much in advance! I must have this!

Overcooked shrimp can ruin my life. I think I'd go in with frozen or nearly-frozen shrimp to make sure it doesn't get too done and thus rubbery.
reply

How about some rice in there too, to cook in all those meat and veggie juices? Have you tried that? How would you adjust the recipe to do that?
