The side dish that's about to change your life forever

Garlic. Butter. Rice. Just please don't watch this video if you don't want your life to change. I've been making rice this way for more than 25 years, but without the crispy brown garlic chips for a garnish. That's just way too much garlic. Instead, I make crumbs out of Ceasar croutins in my food processor and sprinkle them on top. These garlicky crumbs are great on so many other things from cooked veggies, pasta, soups, baked fish, potatoes, you name it. They store well in an air-tight glass jar.

ATTENTION. PROBLEM! Sam, there's a problem with your shirt. The Arabic letters need to be connected with ligatures, as it is a cursive alphabet. You've got letters in isolated form and no one writes like that. It's just not done. I recommend you return your shirt to the vendor and have it reprinted with the writing corrected.

So as kids about a million years ago my sister and I both liked white rice (as if anything else was available in the 60's where we lived) with butter. I liked salt and pepper on it my sister went for sugar. She also enjoyed spaghetti with just butter and salt.

As a kid when I could do things on my own like boil water I would boil a bag of minute rice. Slather in with butter, pepper, garlic powder, soy sauce and top it with parmesan cheese. Really don't know where this idea came from, but I love it to this day lol.

It looks great! Thks. Maybe you do a low budget meal that tastes good. Maybe a show. A lot of us including me are struggling with something to eat that s good. No processed food. I can t afford anything at the grocery stores. Any ideas?

White rice with butter and some salt was a staple at my house growing up, still a favorite of mine to this day. This stuff sound damned delicious too. I love rice. I love butter. I love garlic. Putting them together, what could go wrong?

My in-laws make Filipino garlic rice and it is my favorite breakfast dish when I visit them. They basically fry leftover rice in garlic and oil in a pan and serve it with a fried egg on top and I add Sriracha hot sauce and green onion.

I already make that with squeeze garlic but I have always loaded up real butter
in my rice and I use bullion cubes for the liquid. ALSO I love buttery rice with 4
sunny side up eggs on top. TRY that in a big city. :)

Very similar to the rice I already make for the kids and I. However, the crispy garlic pieces are brilliant, I can't wait to try that part out. And I agree, this rice goes great with nearly everything!

I haven't watched the whole video yet but you saying you don't like butter rice makes me want to introduce you to butter and sugar rice that I ate at my grandparents house for years as a kid

This was a weekly dish I'd buy when I was in the Philippines. I'd suggest trying to make some beef salpicao to go with this and your taste buds will thank you. Good work, Sam and sons!

it makes a circle shape in the middle - well no s t.
. maybe, just maybe that would be the shape of the burner and the bubbles that are being produced by it, separating the contents!

I'm with you Sam, white rice with butter is generally pretty boring. But now I can't wait to make this. And I'm sure there are a ton of other dishes to add the crispy garlic to.

Garlic butter white rice with garlic is even better with an over easy egg on top. Top with cracked black pepper and chili powder. You'll thank me. Chili powder may be a bit much.

I only ate rice with butter and soy sauce as a kid. Still love it to this day. I've made this rice, didn't know it was a thing LOL. Thank you for introducing it to others!

Sam the cocaine guy. The broth doesn't evaporate cause the lid is on. The broth gets absorbed by the rice sam the I don't know what's going on in the pot guy.

Love you guys! But I can't. I'm counting macros and rice is not really allowed. Would you be willing to post the macros for your meals to help a brother out?
