I've ended up cooking a lot of Sam's recipes, just because they look so good, but most of the time I don't have any of those ingredients on hand. But, one thing Sam does do is motivate me to actually cook when I don't feel like it.
Did a 12 hour shift at work and was thinking take out, but then I see a new Sam video and decided to make an asparagus soup while watching. Food is always better when you make it yourself.

Nice version of something I make a lot, I’ll try it!
We don’t do chicken, just cut up smoked sausage in chunks, and I use teeny potatoes or par boil them. Lots of veg incl yours plus usually broccoli & mushrooms. Mix with oil, dijon & herb blend right on the sheet pan. Used to use Herbs de Provence, lately using a super fresh Italian blend I found.
Nice thing is it takes only 25 mins in the oven: )

I know Sam's shtick is Whatever, no biggie yadda yadda, but FFS take 2 seconds out of your day and remove the lemon seeds before you add the rest of the marinade ingredients. No one wants to be enjoying a nice meal and bite down on something like that. I'm sure his devoted followers are probably going to tell me to F off and grow up, but come on.

Honestly, that's mid. Not often you make something that is a fail but this was for me. Potatoes needed to be on the bottom those weren't cooked they were hard. Needed foil on top for first half to steam and tenderize everything. Sausages needed to be cut up into chunks it releases more flavor into the pot

Oh come on man. these lil 6 minute videos. with everything pre-cut. the whole purpose watching you guys was the cutting shit up and spilling stuff and breaking it. and Max and Chance's comments and reactions. you're losing your spice. no pun intended. get back to the fun man!

This reminds me of a recipe by Chef John that he calls Chickrn, Sausage, Peppers and Potatotes. I've made his more than once. family favorite. The biggest difference i saw between his and yours is that yours had a marinade. Now I want to try yours. It looks amazing!

A sheet pan dinner. Great: ) But why not just leave the ingredients in the actual sheet tray. More exposure & crisp for everyone involved. Hmm. Just my 2 cents. Good job tho Sam. And yes, everybody can cook, I agree: )

great video. many people think cooking good meals is a hard thing to do. some times just putting good things tougher and adding a little love is the best way to go. experimentation = learning = god dang good food! :)

Was wondering what to whip up for dinner. I’ll report back as this (minus the peppers as we don’t have any and not willing to brave Trader Joe’s parking lot until after the ucsb students are gone.

This can be improve a lot. It needs to be cooked over a stove at low heat like 3 hours. You can add brandy and a really small piece of chocolate too for extra flavor. Adding carrots also improves it.

I cook a meal similar to this, with a little more ingredients, and it's great. The smell in the house while it's cooking is off the charts from the fennel seeds. Called Chicken Scarpariello. Magical.

I do a variation of this quite often. Potatoes, onions and carrots at the bottom. Chicken legs at the top. So easy, and fast. Can be done in less than one hour from when you open the fridge

Love how simple this is! This is a dish that I want to share with some friends we can sit around and drink while it's in the oven and when it's done everybody's going to be happy!
reply

Like always you are the best, not long ago I tried for the first time something very similar to this called Chicken Scarpariello but let me tell you yours looks even better.

Quick dish. Cook pasta shells, wait til it’s cold add mayonnaise, mix until all pasta is covered. Add chopped celery onions, canned tuna and season with salt and pepper.
reply

Hmmm I wonder if you're supposed to cover that with foil at first when you put it in the oven and then after it's cooked most of the way you take it off to Brown things up
reply

Definitely seems like this would be good. My only critique would be how with their seeds being in the marinade not be an issue the way you just dumped it in there.

Can you also a multi video of ways to use Chicken drumsticks We have a lot of those and I only ever make them one way. need inspiration
2nd idea, Grain/bean bowls!

Why do you poke holes in your sausage you let all the goodness leak out low slow let the fat render in the sausage it make for a more tender sausage

I just finished reading Forbiden Chef Secrets book and it completely explains this. It t's packed with stuff I’ve never seen in regular cookbooks.
