i just made thisstill baking in the oven. when i saw how red my batter was, i decided to give it a taste and i could taste hints of the colouring, you know that weird taste at the back of your mouth, where you can tell it's not like either the cocoa or normal batter? so i added another heap of cocoa powder and am now crossing my fingers the colouring taste won't be too significant once it's done. i suggest to stir the batter after one tablespoon of colouringand slowly build up from there, drop by drop or something.
but apart from that, of course i enjoyed the learning experience: )

After months of observation I was finally able to find out how to recognize an old episode of sorted food: Jamie looks completely lost throughout the video - probably because he hasn't yet found his purpose in life: annoying Ben, who hasn't found out that parmesan isn't vegetarian and sometimes likes his hair ridiculously spiky. Barry literally looks and acts exactly the same & mike looks like a teenager who desperately wants to get into a fight with his parents.

I love watching your videos, but id love to see more gluten free things pointed out. It's always fun to find some, but it would be great if they were easier to find.

You should look into food colouring paste, you need the smallest amount compared to liquid and it doesn't effect the texture/taste of the food like liquid colouring can

Weren't the first red velvet cupcakes naturally red (without any dye or food colouring) from the chemical reaction with the chocolate and something? Or am I mistaken?

I couldn't find the normal buttermilk but i found the spicy buttermilk instead. Would it suffice for this recipe or will it taste weird?
