this is more helpful than art class, we just used to paint away without realising why we couldnt get better at 'shades' and mixing and creating depth. i just finished a flower painting but realising i used another yellow out of the tube and actually i should have just used the one and lightened it/used neutrals all the way through!

Always enjoy your videos. the one thing that I thought you might mention, is that color can be used to draw attention or diminish attention. I. e. warm colors reach the viewer quicker than cool colors. Actually, a dot of red can overwhelm a much larger cool shape.

Ok, but what exactly is the warmest / coolest color, have you any suggestion? There should bei some color poles on the color wheel.
