Which type of person would you feel most comfortable around:
1. Those who agree with you.
2. Those who pretend to agree with you.
And. would you know the difference?
Local color is a lie, it pretends to agree with your perceptions, it makes you feel comfortable and confident. It is only when you realize you have been lied to that your perceptions of the world around you break down.
Breaking down is uncomfortable, at times devastating and crippling but necessary for reconstruction.
Breaking down allows a deeper more critical look at everything around us and at our selves, it is a process that happens to us in many ways not just art and painting. Expect it.

This is a tricky one for me. Sometimes the local color gets in the way of the perceived color especially if it's a subtle difference. I suppose with lots experience and practice this can improve but sometimes I wonder if it's just a defect that can't be overcome, like color blindness. I've never been diagnosed with color blindness but sometimes what I will see as yellow, someone else will refer to as brown.
I've enjoyed this series! Bonus videos are always welcome.

Like your videos on color theory, but hoping to see some videos of your actual work too! And hoping you are getting time to paint!

Another sound commentary. I think with all the subject matter you have touched on in this series you have covered a lot of ground.
