My own hand made products! Check them out here: www. grankvist-outdoors. com I hand-craft all these wooden products myself. I can only make a few at a time, so you have to be first to buy one when a new batch is released. They are all made from hard nordic oak, making them extremely durable, holding up for a lifetime of abuse. I was told that my dream of selling handmade products wouldn’t work in today's world where everything is mass produced. I want to prove them wrong. My goal is to expand into other handmade products eventually. Making a series of lifetime quality handmade goods. Breaking free from mass production, supporting our environment. So check out my website: --------- This is my gear that I use to make these videos possible: My main camera: My second camera: My lens: My drone: These amazon links are affiliate links. By using these links I earn a small fee from your purchase, it does NOT cost you anything extra. Thank you for your support and be creative with your new gear! Thank you Stevie Antoniou Media for editing this video!

Excellent work! But your dog was cold, he was shivering most of the video, you should get him a coat, perhaps even booties. At the very least a warm hooded dog bed for outside because he wants to be close to you, but not so close to the flying wood. Is he not allowed in the cabin without you You're working and have a coat on, so you're nice and warm, but he has nothing, not even the blanket towards the end of the video. Please, get him a coat, something when he spends so much time outside watching you, again, something to keep him warm. It was torture watching him freeze.

Great job on finishing your front porch, now all we need is to get you a rocking chair, and maybe a banjo, and maybe even some moonshine in a jug for you! Your patience and craftmanship never cease to amaze me, Erik. After watching this video I feel both very cold and hungry! You are the man, Erik! Looking forward to your next video; have you considered building a sauna and/or jacuzzi next to your cabin That would make your place a little piece of Heaven on Earth! Cheers, dude!

In this video I have felt stress and tiredness from you, contrary to the signs of peace and relaxation. I've felt like you are not giving your 100% to the work, as if you've lost your motivation for a bit. I remember feeling this way after certain break-ups, and may be that is it. But stay strong and remember you do this for you and your work and your cabin are worthy and meaningful without needing them to be for a woman. Peace

Hi Erik!
Tipp: Try to burn 4x or 3x half Logs at the same time by positioning them like a Chimney!
fix it with thin metal filament or chain.
then light a fire inside at the ground with some wood. burns like dragons breath, 2 minutes done.
its really easy to stop, just flick it to the ground, fire of instandly.
i did that inspred by your first log splitting Video, thanks!
greetings from germany

I always dream about life like this, but then again, I cut my own finger with a bread knife so hard that it will take over a year to heal. So thinking about what kinda damage I would cause with an axe I think it's better I stick with the basic kitchen knives.
But I love watching these vids. Dreaming about better life.

Nice video, as usual. Your photography is excellent. Note: should read Finishing the Log Cabin. instead of, Finalizing. But not a real issue.
Oh, and I wonder if it's a mistake, that the writing on your branded mug could be read as, Erik Grankvist. The Great Outdoors, or, Erik Grankvist the Great. Outdoors.

Great to see the progress of the cabin. Got to ask (I barely know anything of woodworking) and if we may know, why didn’t you choose to burn the wood for the steps like you did for the porch Too much time consuming Would the surface of the teunk only be kept and the rest would keep moisture

How I'd love to have a guy like this - if there is one available - as a husband, son, loving brother, close cousin or best friend. Things would get done around here. I have 50 acres, an island, upstate New York. I can't even find a handyman around here - a skilled one that is not a ripoff.

Erik, Your work continues to improve as you build this home. You are blessed with a strong mind, body, and your craft comes alive in your hands as you came through this past year.
May you have a warm and joyous Holiday Season, and may your coming year continue to be blessed.

Stairs aren't good! Last step bottom up should be your deck. That piece you glued I'd personally replace the whole log. At the bottom id make better base for the log. Stairs not that good in my opinion. Everything else is great but too much flaws on the staircase

Bro, how in the fawk do you keep your feet warm in those $hit fake Australian boots! It's a serious question.
You are a true Viking, not knowing anything about you. Thank you for sharing your journey, the world is absolutely doomed without you and your skills!

You two are the BEST! It was nice to see Mac so enthusiastic and honest about his gift choices. He had one particular item I have been researching a lot and plan on buying in the very near future and I trust his judgement. Thank you both for being you!

The author also charges the video equipment from a kerosene lamp, or is there a generator hidden somewhere How could one charge electrical devices for construction without fooling the audience with an axe.

The dog on the 4: 20 was:
Do I rly need to be that close That's not what we agreed for this shooting. If something hit my eyes I'll get my agent to sue you, yeah! I'm serious mate, careful there!

Gotta say, I love that you include the minor failures, like the step support breaking twice - makes it more real, because that stuff happens - you just dealt with it and carried on - nice!

Erik! Back so soon It’s only been about 4 weeks since we last heard from you. Is everything all right. Just joking. It’s great to see a new video and even better to see your progress!

Kinda looks like the cabin is going downhill. Once mice get a foothold they will never go away. However there is a spray foam that mice won't eat. Your next cabin will be an improvement.
