Q&A How I Got Started Garden Answer Kate: Haha, just as you read the question about chipmunks and said you don't have a chipmunk problem, Dexter jumped up onto your seat. THAT'S why you don't have a chipmunk problem. It's as if he knew. For those people who do not have a cat patrolling your plants, I found one single thing that works to keep chipmunks and squirrels away. It's called Scram for Cats. They do make this product for dogs, squirrels, etc, but the cat stuff works wonders for just about all garden pests. 100% organic and biodegradable. Sold at most nurseries or online. And no, I do not work for this company, nor was I paid to mention them. I just know how frustrating it can be to have little critters trash your garden, and this was the ONLY thing that worked for me.

Thank you for all your videos and I appreciate that you're able to respond to at least some of us. The great thing is we all seem to have very similar questions so even though you didn't directly answer my specific question in reality you really did. I have always loved the garden but unfortunately I'm not very good at it. since I've been watching your videos just so you know I have cut down on the killing of my plants to at least 50% lol. I seem to be only successful with succulents lol. Again I just wanted to tell you thank you for all your great inspiring videos.

I have 3 ferns, 2 Boston Ferns and 1 Maidenhair Fern. I got the Maiden Hair and 1 of the Boston Ferns when I had no knowledge of how to care for Ferns and they're doing really well! If I was asked if Ferns are hard to care for I'd say that they're SUPER easy to grow and are low maintenance! I have them in my bedroom where I mist them every now and then and they're bright green and constantly growing new leaves and I love them!
P. S. My mum has never been able to successfully grow Ferns as they always die when she tries to grow them.

You truly have inspired me! I have always loved being outside and have dabbled a bit in gardening but I happened across one of your videos and your spirit, passion, and love for gardening kind of infected me! lol! I have a teeny yard in ABQ New Mexico and now I can take some time, breathe, learn, and hopefully get things to grow! I now have a rather large succulent collection. Along with the teeny yard comes a teeny house. Now I'm working on where to put them this winter!
Thank you so much. You are a gem!

You have inspired me! I have just had the wash of inspiration on working out in my yard and it has been so invigorating to me! I'm 47 years old and have only ever done annuals in a couple of hanging baskets. Well, now I'm tackling some bigger projects. yesterday I pulled out some really bad shrubs (had never had any love or pruning, etc) and am re-working the soil and area to get my garden growing! Thanks so much!

I enjoy all your videos so much and have learned so much from u. I have been watching u 4 several years now and turned my friends on to you. Recently I sent u a couple of questions and even though I did not mean to I feel I offended u. I never received any answer to my questions. I cannot apologize enough as that was not my intention. Please forgive me. I guess I put my foot in my mouth again.

Growing up my parents had a beautiful garden and watering and weeding seems to be terrible chore for me. I thought I will never do gardening. My mom passed away last year, I think she left her green thumb with me. for the first time I started gardening this season. I am in love with that. Gardenia was my moms favorite. I have 4 in my garden now.
Love your gardening videos. It truly inspires.

Well, you can tell Proven Winners that you achieved your goal of ramping up me up as a gardener. I am dying waiting for Spring and all of my purchases for Spring (planters, tools, handing baskets) is now officially out of control and have leaked into my house. Laura and Aaron, you have done your job since my discovering your videos this Winter. Keep it up.

You are an inspiration to me to garden, to plant & work in the yard! I am outside more now tha never, working and improving places in my yard. Also, when you talked about the chipmunks, it was if Dexter raised his tail (raised his hand) to say Ahem, you have no chipmunks because you have me. :) Love, love, love seeing the kitties!
