Planting Around Our Neighbors Pond! Garden Answer AvatarPrimus: A really gorgeous garden! A waterfall, a pond and gorgeous plants all over, a very lovely spot for Our Lady of Guadalupe statue, and 8: 17 planting more roses was the perfect touch around the statue, because she is known for the miracle of the roses in 1531. 13: 52 Speaking of hummingbirds, right now we have a pair of hummingbirds hatching 2 tiny eggs on a thin branch of a Ficus microcarpa tree that was planted by my late father over 40 years ago near the front door, precisely the nest hangs 5 inches above of our front door, it is so small and delicate, it is a pleasure to see. Hugs from Sonora, Mexico!

I would love to know what size augers you are using for your standard drill. I definitely need a longer one and the ability to use for bushes, etc. The size you have would be perfect as I am planting very similar plants and I have some definite back issues and I don't want to be limited with planting.
Love your energy and all your videos. And is there a central link for questions, ) as you have so many videos and projects. Keep it up, you are so inspiring

Laura, you have a thought process when planting, thats one thing I lack! I buy at the garden centre, then wonder why I bought it when I get home (no place to put it. I have ferns, tiger lilies and day lilies growing like weeds, have to thin them out to put in other plants but its hard when the tiger lilies have 100 plus bulbs ready to bloom!

Great content as usual. Suggestion for something in the future: When Laura mentioned about cutting back the elderberry but it would not bloom since it blooms on old wood, how about discussing and showing about rejuvenation pruning where each year you only remove 1/3 of the branches so that theres always something blooming?

This is beautiful! I'm beginning to think next time I move I'm buying all the surrounding properties I can! LOL! This looks like you just stepped into an oasis in your backyard. I love it! Their raised bed garden looks good too, what I could see of it anyway! Thumbs up On all the plants you chose Laura!

Hi Laura and Aaron! Your neighbors have a beautiful property and I'm glad they let you add those beautiful plants to make it even prettier. I like what you/they picked and the placements. I'm anxious to see the update later on. Aaron thank you for adding the drone shots! Thank you so much for sharing!

Wish you were my neighbor laura, that pond is gorgeous, I can see what will look beautiful on your property you need a waterfall. your new property would look absolutely gorgeous with a feature similar to this. this space is stunning but its now stunningly beautiful with all the plants you did.

Would you mind showing your process from the time you learn you have some space to plant and how you decide the plan and how and when you buy the plants? When i see a space, i stand and stare and decide one plant, then get tired and decide to come back so i dont waste plants.

Lovely work, Laura! Please bring us back so we can watch the progress through the seasons. Perhaps you can convince your neighbors to plant more trees? As of now it looks like a golf course, but maybe that was the intention.

I love the height of the waterfall and the pond! Did they build up that raised area? Seems like all around your property is fairly flat. I vote for you to build something like - an oasis in your pastureland!
