Low Scape Mound Aronia Garden Answer Randy: I'v planted over 100 perennials and evergreens, trees, xeroscaping, raised beds, mass plantings, on and on. But i kill every delphinium during early summer and by mid they are gone. I must assume they cannot take the shear heat a souhtwestern exposure endures on them, I have perfect soil drainage and nutrients up till 15 inches its mushy Clay/Soil transition.
Have you just planted those or do you have success year after year? Some people spend 40 bucks on the potted ones plant them and expect them to die, only planted for blooms! They likely think they are annuals.
There are many varieties however and some do not look alike. Similer to Coreopsis foliage looks diverse from one to the next.

Love your ideas. I noticed you have planted delphiniums, do you have a problem with slugs or snails in your garden? I have never heard you mention them in your videos. Slugs destroy my hostas and delphiniums every year. I am trying a ring of copper coins this year as they can't stand copper and it's better than having to dispose of slugs by hand yuk! Thanks

I hope you make a video when you remove your privet hedges. I have old holly bushes that look a lot like your privet bushes. half dead. that I'd like to get rid of and wasn't sure about what the best way to go about it is. Love those Aronia bushes. Please keep us updated on what they look like all grown up!

We live in Ontario and I was wondering if this is something that could be planted by a riverbed. The river does sometimes flood in the spring from the winter thaw. We are just wanting to try to save some of the riverbank from being lost. This is our summer camping place.

I love these Aronias, so pretty! You said they are heat resistant right, I wonder if they would do well in my mini garden, I live in San Antonio Texas, and I have been looking for something that would stay small but have impact all year round. Thank you for your video!

What kind of mulch did you cover your ground with? I love it it looks so rich! I'm getting ready to do two raised islands in front of the house. I really don't like the chunky woody mulch look, and I don't want rock. But I love love love what you just used!

Quick question for you or your follower if they know. :) I'm planting Supertunias this weekend. Do I need to add mulch or do they grow fast enough where it isn't necessary. Is Dusty Miller a good compliment to Supertunias? Ty so much! Xoxo

Hi Laura, what is that - that you are using for a top cover? I've just taken out many things to change out many beds and replace all soil with organic soil. Taking out that privet looks daunting!

I love when you do single plant videos! It reminds me that I don't have to be rich to make a continual positive change in the small gsrden patvhes around my apartment, and in my apartment. :)
