Why couldn't you be my friend? I would just have you pick out all the flowers and shrubs for my garden. Doing a complete yard makeover this year and it's doing my head in. Literally been reading and watching videos all day. Low key hoping you see this and I send you my yard dimensions with soil and sun conditions in each spot and you tell me what to plant.

Great videoI have a Shasta doublefile viburnum that is massive and am getting complaints from my husband about how it is overwhelming our very informal walkway. So hearing about a smaller version is great! Do you have any suggestions on viburnums that berry heavily for the birds that also dont get too big? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Took all the notes on these small area bushes! Thanks again, Laura, I will be looking into these to plant this season. I have a few small areas in front of the house, by the staircase that leads to our front door, as well as small flower beds on either side of the front porch.

Thank you Laura for videos such as these. I love flowering shrubs but because I only have so much room due to our pool and remaining yard area, I can't have too many or too big. Now I have suggestions to go to my nursery with, that won't overpower the beds near the pool.

I really appreciate the growing details that you share and the photos of plants. The cultural requirements of each plant is crucial to know before we choose our next plants. You have helped me expand my plant choices and inspire me to try new things. Thank you as always.

I have two ninebarks on standards that are about 15 years old. Powdery mildew is a problem. Heavy pruning (three times during the growing season) and a copper spray keep the powdery mildew in checkbut its too much work. Theyre beautiful, but Im ready to replace them.

Thank you thank you thank you for discussing smaller versions of these gorgeous shrubs. For years I have been so jealous of some of the beautiful shrubs you plant but have not been able to fit them in my yard. Now I get to enjoy mini versions in my yard!

LOVE how it turned out! Great design with vertical elements, butterfly shapes that draw the eye, and different textures and shades of color! What a wonderful project to work on all together! What kind of mulch is that? It is the perfect finishing touch!

Hi Laura, I love the tater tots but I havent been able to find any near me. I recently planted the fire chief arborvitae (also a small globe shrub) from southern living plants and its so pretty, it has lighter foliage with reddish-orange tips: )
