Your railing at this entrance is so beautiful and unusual. Have you considered widening the new brick walkway to the full width of the bottom step? This would let you see the full vista as you approach and it would feel and look very grand. Absolutely love your planters, cant wait for more fall touches on your property.

I'm in the process of getting rid of lawn and planting perennials instead. Our soil is horrible, so we're planting cover crops (annual oilseed radish and clover) in the area to loosen up and amp up the soil. I wonder if that's something you've tried or considered for the large area planting beds you are developing?

Don't worry too much about how to pronounce certain words like pecan. Most of the differences are regional. I'm a literacy specialist and you're doing just fine! Love the fall inspiration. After the hottest March-August we have had on record here in Oregon's Willamette Valley, I'm trying to get into the fall mood!

We finally moved to our new temporary home in Colorado and the front porch here is stunning! So I finally took everything you've taught me through the years and applied it to fall containers! It's a big deal to me lol thank you!

Hi! How long can I use pumpkins and squash as decor next to my planters? Don't they eventually rot and have to be replaced? Can I decorate my porch steps with pumpkins or will it attract a number of bugs?
