Planting Hydrangeas, Black Lace Elderberry & Pine Pot transitions Garden Answer Laura: Hey there, this is the first time viewing one of your videos and am looking forward to seeing more! Love what you have done with your garden! =) I have a question, I am wondering about digging up my Black Lace Elderberry and relocating it as it is not growing well in it's current location. It's close to the street and am wondering if the salt spread over the roads during the winter and plowed up towards it may have been slowly killing it. It has gotten smaller over the years and is now only about 6-8 inches tall. Can that be done and if so, how is the best way to transplant it? Any advice would be so appreciated! I love this shrub and do not want to lose it. =( Our terrible winters seem to have taken it's toll on it! Thank You! Oh. and congrats on the babe! So many wonderful memories to be made! =) =)

You have such a beautiful yard. And your garden landscaping is absolutely beautiful. You have such great advice and how you just throw those names out for the plants you're planting is pretty amazing, it shows how much you love what you do and what you are doing to your home, making it feel like you're in paradise! I'm trying to convince my husband to plant boxwoods as well, to create an estate look, however, we live in an golf course area in the PNW, where our little friends (deer) eat everything they see, and that includes boxwoods, if they are hungry. Still trying to convice him and I'll find a way to keep the deer away from eating them.

Congratulations! Been following you for a few weeks and i love your videos. Been learning from your videos. Found out you live in ontario Oregon, i use to go to TVCC. I lived in caldwell, Id. Now i live deep in south Texas, so the weather here is very hot and humid. I am new to planting and garden. I have these plants that they told me were going to bloom flowers. But now its been about a year and some months now and still no flowers. I would love for them to bloom due to being in the front door entrance. I am actually thinking of just giving up and taking them out because i want flowers. Please help. Congrats again

Hi Laura,
I just started to watch your video this past two weeks. So I'm new to your awesomeness.
I have a pine that I plated in December after Christmas. We get a evergreen tree like a spruce or pine for Christmas, decorate it and then immidatley play it after Christmas so it's not inside very long with the warmth.
Is there any fertilizer or help I can give my pine and two blue spruced to help them to grow they haven't grown an inch since we put them in the grown. ?
We are zone 5 Salt Lake Utah, clay soil, the pine is in shade half the day and the spruced are in full sun?

I THINK we have a hydrangea in our yard that a previous owner planted. When we first moved in, we pulled sticks out of it which I have been told you are NOT supposed to do (we didn't know what it was at the time). It hasn't bloomed and I'm wondering if it ever will. I live in zone 7 so we do get a good deal of snow and hot summers. Any suggestions? I would appreciate tips from anyone willing to give them!

Y'all are so inspiring and share such great information. I am so grateful for you and your husband, you are inspiring me to get back in my yard. I used to love my yard when we lived in. Ountry but it was necessary for us to move due to my health issue. Anyway you are getting me excited to get back into loving plants.

Congrats on the baby! I have 2 limelights that haven't bloomed yet (zone 9a. I planted them back in May. They're really green, but no blooms. They're planted in a semi shaded area. The other mop head hydrangeas bloomed. Any idea why my limelights haven't bloomed? Do you answer viewer's questions?

Don't know how you do all of that work in that heat. Glad you're taking time to rest in-between! You might have to scale back your ambition a bit! We love you! Oh, and I wanted to tell you that my mom made elderberry jelly for as long as I can remember, and NOTHING beats it! It is scrumptious!
