Pinky Winky Hydrangea Garden Answer Debbie: When I saw this video, I knew I wanted to ask you a question. Not sure you will have time to answer. I planted 2 new hydrangea standards last summer. They were a bit straggly. I would prefer to keep them pretty and compact. What do I do with them this Spring? Dont I have to prune them back? Would love for you to do a video on my next step. They were NOT cheap and I dont want to lose them because I lack the knowledge as to how to take care of them. Anything you can share would be appreciated. Thanks, Debbie.

Bought one for zone 7. Owner of the garden center said they're resilient, but we're getting a lot of sunburned leaves and planted in the middle of summer. Not to mention, the panicles are drooping to the point where it looks like the branches will snap. From what I understand, it thrives in full sun, but it isn't performing as it should. Will it survive?

Enjoyed your Pinky Winky video, getting ready to remodel some areas of my yard. The best info was the basics you went over about the amendments you added and the drip and watering set up. Very Valuable info! thank you! (any info on getting rid of voles and gophers would complete my education before I attempt my project )

Hi Laura. I just planted two pinky winky hydrangea trees. I put Holly tone in both holes before planting. One is shaded the other is in full Sun. The shaded one is looking great. The one in full Sun is drooping. Help! What can I do? I can send pics too

Very cool tree! I live in an older house and trust me, you don't want to water too close to your basement! Also I would think that those rocks by your downspouts are nice looking, but I would think they would drain water to your basement fast! :)

Ive been binge watching your videos for the past couple of days. Watching these videos gives me so much joy - especially given the crappy weather (snow storm) we are having in Toronto right now. Cant wait to start gardening this spring!

I've seen these in my area (CT) and they're certainly showy. The tree form is uniquely right for this lovely plant.
My Grandfather use to train Oleanders this way in his garden. He always had the most gorgeous and unique plants.

Thank you Laura! I just got 2 pinky winkies on sale and I was thinking for days where to put them, because my garden is tiny, already crowded and has. challenges. You provided the info that put me at ease about my decision: )

Another excellent video. There is a place in my garden that I would like to plant hydendria plants. Hopefully this coming summer, since we just moved into this house. We are dealing with the wild morning glory for know.
