Planting Sweet Romance Lavender Garden Answer MrsHandyRU: Today we are planting a Sweet Romance lavender hedge along both sides of our very long front brick pathway! You and Aaron are such a joyous inspiration. We even bought the large Gorilla Cart, (which could use a brake, as our yard a is bit hilly, lol) Felco 2', and the pop-up Fiskars bag for debris! Proven winners have stolen my heart. nothing else compares! Going to plant up our first very large pot, watching for your. Next inspiration. Much love to you, Aaron, your little man, and your mums and dads. (& cats and chickens)
Praying Psalm 91 over your family.
From New Hampshire with love, Cathy and Bob. PS Got my seeds from Andrews Seeds and they were packaged beautifully, tied up with jute twine and a bow! So sweet. Robin did the receipt. love them.

I live in coastal Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea with a Mediterranean climate. lavender is a staple here. Generally, it needs very little to no water other than the few rainfalls that come naturally. 12-15 inches or less, usually. Like you say, full sun, but not humidity. Dry, rocky, gravel conditions. I think this Sweet is a hybrid, so it will be interesting to see how it does with your drip system. But water is the main killer. can't wait to see what you do with the blooms. I dry them, make my own tea, sprinkle them in baths, bake with them, mix them with salt, and place bundles on guest beds. And, of course, sprinkle them in window sills to keep the scorpions out!

Laura & Aaron, I'm so envious of the masterpiece landscape you are creating! You supersede all expectations & inspire the inner gardener in me, as I'm sure other viewers. You really knock it out of the ballpark consistently. I'm extremely excited to see all the growth of everything new. You both are starting to give Martha Stewart competition. lol! Your land has its own beautiful identity. I'm so thrilled with all the changes you have made in such a short time. Much love to you all!

Is there an update for this project? It looks wonderful! Also: any tips about a pair of Spanish Lavender containers? They did very well this summer- easily 5x larger-- but I'm in zone 4. Should I bring them inside? Cover them with burlap and bury with leaves? They grew much larger than the plants I put in the ground. Used cactus potting soil.

You can still plant a few roses behind the fence. I love the Zephrine Droughin climbing roses. They are fine to walk beside as they are thornless. They are an old variety of rose, fragrant and very beautiful. I can not grow roses anymore because of the Rose Rosette Virus. I want to live vicariously through your garden!

Beautiful! Just wondering how the lavender will stand up to snow in the winter since it's along a driveway path. Will it withstand the area having to be plowed or shoveled? I've had issues with drainage in my Zone 6 area with lavender-- just can't seem to find a spot dry enough for it to last for more than a few years.

Laura, Aaron; we learn so much from the two of you and your partnership is inspiring as well. Although I suspect these projects aren't as easy as you make them appear, I'd like to think they are not too complicated for a novice, like me. Thank you so much. One of my fav's. Love to baby Benjamin, he's growing fast.

Laura or anyone please help. I can't find an answer anywhere. I have tiny spiders in my new gineau impatients (not mites) how can I get rid of them? They came in the footballs and the nursery would not take them back. I reported them to hanging baskets. I thought miracle grow would kill them.

Im excited to see how they grow on, Lavender does not hold up well here in SW Florida which kills me a little, I had a variety that i was able to keep alive for 2 years but i've never run across that variety again, I've tried another few varieties a few times but to no avail.

Your garden is so beautiful. I just love when you post a new video, I love all of the great tips and ideas. Your black fence is so amazing, I have never seen any one that has one. I have a little lavender tree. I love the smell, and the pretty little flowers they produce.
