Planting in a Rectangular Container Garden Answer Debra: I love this container and especially that new dahlia! I also discovered that new Fairy Dust Cuphea this season and planted it in a container as a filler. I love its unique texture and its lovely, delicate bloom. However, they have grown over to the edge and is acting like more of a trailer in my pot. It just moved my lilac superbells right out of the way and over the edge it went! Like you said, fun to see how a new plant will behave! Can't wait to see how yours grows! Pretty, pretty! ; )

I love all your videos and have been a fantastic teacher for me this summer, whilst changing my garden of 20 plus years from a football pitch into an actual garden with flowers!
Great idea with the pretty counter! I love pretty too and find myself saying it all the time lately! You pick up on other peoples verbal expressions when you spend a lot of time with them. Am I spending too much time watching your videos? Haha! Definitely not! Keep the videos coming please

I love your videos! Have you ever considered doing some shots showing the soil, how you position the plants, and pack the soil around them? You describe how you do it, but occasionally itd be great to see it from a closer angle or maybe even from your perspective looking down on the soil. It would be helpful for us newbies that are feeling inspired but have zero experience.

Loving the colors in this arrangement! Would love to do something similar in a large oblong galvanized metal trough that I have I have a question about the Cuphea: Do you know if it attracts hummingbirds, like the red Cuphea Ive seen you use in other projects? Im definitely more partial to the pink/purple color of these vs. the red. Thanks for all you do!

Do you think you could do a video or even just a vlog to show how to dead head different flowers? Never quite sure how far down the stem I should cut them. To look pretty I like to cut them down to the leaves sometimes but others I just pinch off at the top. Wondering if it matters?

Fantastic result! The pretty counter was hilarious: ) I am inspired to build a wooden version of this planter-- I had sticker shock when I clicked the link! $$$ Thanks as always for the inspiration.

Would be great to get an overhead shot on some of these. Its very hard to tell how youre making the holes in the dirt to get the plants in and whether the root balls are tilted or not.
