Gorgeous bouquet and delicious pie! Next time you make pie crust do half shortening and add a tsp. White vinegar to your water! You won t regret it! So flaky and delicious! I owned a home bakery for 16 years and won pie contest!

What do you mean by first year plants? Are strawberries perennial in your zone? I had no idea! I wonder if they could be grown as a perennial in a container in zone 5
