Landscape Makeover Pt 2 Garden Answer Nia: The browalia star shaped flowers remind me of nicotiana. I had forgotten all about browalia. Thats why I love watching your vids. You not only provide planting/color scheme inspiration, but you present plants that I love, but had forgotten about due to discovering other beautiful plants or being distracted by the next great, new cultivar! Its nice to be reminded of the simple stalwarts that are the gorgeous work horses of the summer garden. Thank you for sharing your beautiful journey with landscaping! Have a lovely week ahead darling!

Hi Laura, I love what you have done here, I really want to do something similar (Especially the Hydrangea) in my garden (bare block of clay) but I am near Dubbo in NSW Australia and I cannot get the same brands of plants. Plus we have severe frosts (about15 deg F) and searing heat (about 115 deg F! With horrible clay soil. I would love any suggestions for full sun and part shade (low irritant for Asthmatic as well please. Thank you for sharing your garden and knowledge is such easy to understand terms with such enthusiasm. Boofy

I never had roses in my all perennial gardens, mostly because I didn't know much about them but after a visiting with my sister-in-law who has about 100 roses I learned a lot and fell in love. I immediately put some in two years ago and they're amazing. The second year is when I had my first experience with Japanese beetles showing up and eating the blooms! Now I regularly check the roses doing a walkthrough to crush the little pests.
Do you have the Japanese beetles in Oregon as well?

Love your videos! I was curious how your Browallia flowers performed? I bought a few flats of the Endless Flirtation Browallia unfortunately majority ended up not making it. I am trying to keep the few I have alive. I was curious if maybe you had any tips on growing these specific varieties. I tried looking online and found a lot of conflicting information. Thank you for all the hard work you do to make these videos! They are inspiring!

I LOVE my polka dot plants! They definitely never disappoint! And you wont have to wait long, they grow exponentially fast it feels like! I have both the red and the pink foliage ones and I honestly cant pick which ones I love more. Dont you wish the red ones were more cold tolerant? I think they would be the most lovely holiday plant for Christmas if they were evergreen! Lol, fingers crossed one day somebody will come up with that

Laura and Aaron, thank you so much for these videos. I'm inspired to get out in my yard every time I watch one of your videos. This is actually the second time I've watch this video. After the first time I watched it and went down to my local nursery and bought a few beauties, including two new trees! My 5 yr old daughter is loving gardening time with me too! Thanks again

You are such an English country gardener at heart - formal gardens, hedges and evergreen topiaries, long low walls of lavender - aerial layouts, especially with the geometric Kitchen gardens with walkways and arbors. You could have planned and landscaped most of our country estates and castles xx

It looks fantastic. I just have one question. Arent you concerned that the hostas will swamp the hydrangeas? They have a pretty big spread. If you have a slug or snail issues dont plant hostas, unless you are prepared to deal with them. They look horrible after theyve been riddled by snails.

This video of the rose garden has really inspired me. I had a guy come out and remove a bunch of over grown shrubs from in front of my house, now on to planting some new beautiful plants. Going to go to several nurseries to make it happen. Love love love the colors.
