Container Refresh and Other Random Projects! Garden Answer Stacey: Hey Laura thanks for bringing us along. It's kind of crazy you're dealing with and finding aphids right now. I am actually finding them as well and been treating like crazy with neem oil throughout my vegetable garden succulents and indoor plants. Especially that I just brought some new soil home and transplanted with it. It happens to us gardeners and it happens so quickly if not treated and cleaned up before replanting. I always have to treat preventatively here in Florida throughout the fall and summer when I grow because we are still getting temperatures in the 92 range for a few more weeks. We don't hit below freezing till after December into January. You're such a hard worker and I know how much work it takes to have a beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing as always. You're amazing at what you do. I love your little trailers and garden wagons. I've been trying to invest in one for a while but just can't do it right now unless I find one for a good Steel somewhere lol

If you're adding a 2nd lantern, might as well but two new ones - in a larger, longer style, to properly suit the space. Whaddya think? There are so many to pick from these days - even at the box stores.
Love the boxwood there, but I'm in Z5 too, & mine died over their 1st winter here. Maybe I didn't water them enough, but -- if I were you, I'd put those gorgeous planters & boxwoods in the greenhouse over winter, or maybe on the glassed in porch area - to spare them the brutal winter wind. They could really set off those gorgeous succulents & hellebores! Next Christmas, you might like a red lantern or two near those shiny black planters & the shiny, perfect green (not desiccated) boxwood leaves.

I love the cone boxwoods at the front door, I don't think they look too small. Eventually you could get a second light to balance things out, for now it doesn't look bad. Benjamin just gets more and more adorable, and he is growing so fast. Russell is such a kitty, pretty funny he was digging in your pot in the dirt, I love his feet so cute like mittens. Loved this video, gives me some ideas that I can incorporate into my own yard and landscape. Thank you again Laura for sharing, have a wonderful day with Benjamin and Aaron.

Great video and advice about planting things to save them over the winter. Benjamin is just so darn cute and the joy in your voice when you see him is wonderful to hear! Good to see Russell getting his paws dirty; ) I think the containers look good and the more you look at them I bet you will like them by the door. Love the bagpipe music for the pulling of the plants for sure!

I LOVE the Cone Boxwood planters at your front door. They look GREAT. Maybe you are so use to the taller pots you had there that is why you don't care for them as much. Another light on the other side of your front door would look much better in balance and give you more lighting too. Maybe you will be looking for a Pretty pair of New front door lamps soon.

the boxwoods aren't too small at all. it could be too busy otherwise and negative/white space is good.
you probably only go through that door on the left side where the handle it right? that's why there's only one light by the doorbell. basically where people would stand. all the plants look great!

I'm interested in a seed pop ups. Flower bars. I would like to start a flower bouquet farm. On a smaller size at first. I have a builden a that is about it. Anyone with ideas on you to start, plans help in any way. I'am just started in my head. Money will come slow. I need to know what to do first.

Are there any plants that just bug you? That could be a fun video. We probably all have a couple that are on our never list. I get why people use ornamental cabbage and kale. hardy and striking. But they look artificial or something to me. Just big blobs. All a matter of taste, I guess. : )

Does anyone know if those arbs are fairly shade tolerant? I know they thrive better in full sun, but I really wanted to plant an emerald one in my front garden but I also dont want it to be patchy (really doesnt get a lot of sun at all, only morning sun) but those arbs look great!

Hi Laura, I was wondering if you could do a video on how to prepare your vegetable garden for winter. Do we remove all plants before the frost date? Or we just leave it? Do we need to remove the irrigation system or we can leave it during the winter months? Thank you so much!
