Planting Color in Our Versailles Garden! Garden Answer Under: Hi! Im a huge fan, been watching your videos for over two years- I adore them and everything youve taught me/your viewers about plants! I lost my mom three years ago in august and I found so much comfort in your videos after that! We use to garden all the time! But now I live in an apartment with a balcony and I wanted to see if youd do a video on vegetable plants that grow well in pots? I've tried googling and asking on plant forms but get mixed reactions and wanted to see what a pro says instead! Thanks for reading if you see it! Thanks again for making amazing videos!

I'm confused about the question of overhead water, if anyone can help me out: Is it about the blooms themselves not liking it, or in general? I can see that flowers themselves could take a beating from a lot of overhead watering, but the foliage too? And, either way, well, rain comes from overhead, so how could it be that bad? I understand the problem of the grass (in Laura's area esp) needing more water than many flowers. But just the question of overhead vs drip, I'm confused about. Thanks anyone who can clear this up for me.

Love the overhead shots. It's great getting a different angle to help visualize how to best space out the plants. I wait to see what colors and combos Laura picks each year for Versailles. I hope one day to see a mass planting of Supertunia Honey around the gumdrops because that petunia seems to be one with such a wide mix of shades. I'm trying to find that specific variety in garden centers near me but no one carries it. But the Supertunia Vista Paradise is going to be gorgeous there. I can't wait to see how massive it gets!

I love those aerial shots those are so much fun, everything is going to look so beautiful once it starts to grow. Things are really taking shape and looking so beautiful, I love seeing how everything progress, thank you on the tip for planting annuals around the tulips, I always wondered what to do once my tulips were done blooming. Thank you again for a wonderful video full of inspiration and beauty, and always so much fun seeing Russell, he is so big and the end of his tail is very unique. See you soon, bye for now.

Hi Laura and Aaron! Another great and helpful video! Aaron the aerial shots were awesome! You do such a great job filming and editing. I didn't realize you could trim supertunias and they would still grow. Great information Laura! So many times I get so upset with them getting leggy and now I know what to do to keep them pretty. I love the way both gardens turned out. The flowers are all beautiful. I think I'm favoring the Limoncello and dark night. Thank you so much for sharing!

Can we get a tree tour of all the trees on your property? I know you've shown the newer trees, and I've gotten a glimpse of a few old ones here and there, especially the Oaks, but there a so many that I see in the background and think that's a beautiful tree. What is it.
Also, I'm living vicariously through you because I don't live in a zone that bodes well for many evergreens, and I'm super jealous of your weeping blue spruce, and I feel like we never get to see that guy.

I really liked all the planting shots! Loved the aerials and the progress planting shots. Sometimes the videos have a ton of great plant information, and then the actual planting (which is my favorite part) gets sped up and ends up being a small blip in the video. So I loved the time devoted to the planting in this one. (No negativity intended Aaron! Youre an editing god. Thanks guys! Loving your combos this year!

I live in Meridian Idaho. Came to your parentsGarden Center this weekend! It was awesome and I about killed myself planting everything, but it looks awesome! Thank you so much for posting these informational videos. I love it. Watched you for about a month before I figured out that you were close by. Saw your garden center tour and was like. HA WHAT?

This is my first year with daffodils and tulips. I thought you were supposed to wait until the bulbs had browned completely and were looking half dead before you cut them back. Youre cutting them just as they start to brown. I would LOVE to get rid of the now not so pretty leaves earlier. Can you clarify?

Laura both gardens are going to be Beautiful. Cant wait to see them mid summer. I do have a question? Are you going to be using the gadget thing that you got to do the water soluble fertilizer? Wish I had 1 of those gadgets. I have to use a watering container. Takes me forever to water all plants
