Epic Container Competition: Aaron vs. Laura! Garden Answer Margot: Oh I have SO loved watching you EACH plant your pots AND your choices of plants. Then the next part is watching your relationship as you interact together. You appear to have a SOLID connectedness that is SUCH a pleasure to watch. I mean we see and hear you interact a lot, but this was different, more personal between you both and so beautiful to see.
To me it seems as though you have a wonderful marriage that you work at together.
Thank you.
Margot

The canna/lemon sedum is my favorite, then all soft pastels. Questions: Would Celosia & supertunias work well together as far as watering, sun, etc?
Do lantana to well in pots? If so, what would pair well with them?
Do supertunia & wave petunias mix well together? I'm asking because finding it hard to find colors that I want.

Ive decided I want t start planting in containers. They are putting fertilizer when planting and then she says once a week. Silly question. I understand how you mix it with your soil when you initially put you plants in, but how do you apply it weekly? Mix in your water? Sprinkle around the soil?

Where did you get the hot wheels? The trolley for moving the large planters? it is really nice! I see you used pipe insulation to wrap around it! great idea so as not to damage pots and such. PS enjoyed the video!

This was one of my all-time favorites after all you have taught Aaron very well! He did a great job and it was a lot of fun to watch him plant and enjoy it. Thank you for sharing this time with us.

I love these two. I just hope that dont go to HGTV, they are so at their jobs. Im across country in GA in completely different planting zone, but Laura includes zone friendly planting.

It's amazing how you guys work together without arguing (especially on something like this. This would be a good video on psychology/couples therapy. (I'm a retired counselor, lol)

When you plant hostas / heuchera ( or basically and perennial) do you need to transplant them at the end of the season? You cant expect them to come up the next year, just in the pot?

Love the competition. Would like to see more of that. But would also like to see Benjamin plant up a pot but not as part of the competition because he would win hands down. ;-)

You need to watch Ians container gardening. Hes got the perfect way to plant big containers. So much easier than the way you are doing it. However it is beautiful
