Designing a Narrow Flowerbed to Look Abundant Garden Answer Kim: My narrow flowerbed is 3 feet but I feel I can get away with a variation of this. The bed is common n shaped, it borders my yard as I wanted a privacy screen. I planted some Texas mountain laurels on either sides last Labor Day they survived the winter storm. This spring planted Sioux crape myrtle in the middle flower bed. I want to eventually plant the Veronicas in a variety of colors in the TX mountain laurels flower beds then in crape myrtle beds a variety of plants like what u have maybe knockout roses, purple sage and some others.

Oh my gosh, I planted echinacea and Veronica in my narrow front flowerbed last year, and I decided a few months ago that i want to pull out the? bushes that have always struggled. I told my daughter that I want to plant hydrangeas there, and now I feel such confidence in my decision. Thank you for the confirmation that Im making a good decision.

Love this garden and I wanted to replicate it. Having issues with my mini mauvette hydrangeas. Bought 8 last year and 4 did not survive. Replaced them and 3 of them didn't make it. They wilt and and look droopy and die within a few days of starting to do this. I water regularly. I'm giving up on them. Any ideas as to what would cause this?

Could you show an update on another video? My husband and I just made a long narrow bed for a bit of privacy from a neighbor's fire pit. I've planted 5 staggered hydrangeas and am planning on adding some pink echinacea, allium and was thinking of other ideas. Love the pink hibiscus! I would love to see this garden now!

Anyone willing to look at what I have and tell me how to fix it? LOL! I already have a bunch of things planted (came with house and added a few, but I struggle with the layout HARD. And the colours are pretty random too. Whoops. (Enter garden centre and leave with random items)

I need ideas for part sun/part shade garden this shape/size that borders the property line between the east side of our garage and the neighbor's driveway. We just took down a rusty old fence, and will likely have a tree removed that touches the power line.

Are you insane? All those plants will get to be SO much larger than that small bed will handle - this is WAY OVER PLANTED! You only need about 1/4 of the number of plants you have placed there! You'll be ripping half of them out within a year!

Love the long strip area in front of the house. My neighbor planted pivot hedges and I have a strip that i'd like to make a flower bed. He cuts the hedges, so i cant go all the way back against the hedges. Love your ideas on this.

I would love to see the maintenance to keep something like this so clean. When I plant like this I always get things over taking other things and everything just kind of grows together in a giant jumble of plants.

love your videos! So informative and helpful. Nice to see others waiting anxiously for spring lol. I'm in Nova Scotia and never realized how similar our weather is to yours. So glad I found you on here.
