Hi, Laura, was wondering does hibiscus has a deep root system? My garden is over a septic tank, so can't plant, plants that have no long roots or no runner type of plant.
Also when you were planting the pink variety of the hibiscus, (which I love the color of); there was a pink & white plant in the front can you tell me what type of plant that is? Not the short annuals, but the taller plant, possibly small shrub. That is right infront.
Love the color scene of their garden.

Hi! I live in Kansas and just planted 4 hibiscus plants on the south side of my house. My question is, when the flower has bloomed and then shriveled up, am I supposed to do something with the little stem the flower was on? Eventually they turn yellow and then brown but I have tried snapping them off and they won't snap off. Also, do you have any comments on them attracting Japanese Beetles? By the way, the name of my flowers is Evening Shade.

I live in NJ south near shore and just bought 4 lovely hibiscus plants. I thought theyre are outdoorsy now my sis says they need to be brought indoors during winter. Im lost! Id really like to plant them in my flower bed! Backyard mostly sunny summers. Please help me with a suggestion. In other words, how to differentiate between outdoor and indoor hibiscus?

Hi. very nice video! Can you tell me the name of the border plants next to this hardy hibiscus which are in lavender, white and purple color? Are these border plants are perennial? When I was little, my mother, brother and I would walk down a street near my grandmother's house, that was full of hibiscus trees. My mother would pick flowers for us, and we would suck the nectar of the back of the flower.

Is this plant hardy in NJ? Based on the site it does say that the plant is hardy for zone 6, but I have been unsuccessful in getting hibiscus to grow back again in spring when left outside in winter.

Hi how long the mature Hibiscus grow? I have the small patio can i grow perennial hibiscus? i do not want to grow more than 48 inch tall and 24 inch wide. Do you advice me to grow in the patio?

SO interesting. I am in New Zealand and Ive never seen hibiscus planted as a perennial and getting cut down. We just grow them as a shrub. Thank you for the interesting video

I live in zone 10a, they grow beautifully here too. But, I recently put 2 braided hibiscus trees in large pots, and one started getting yellow leaves, and looks like its dying
