Pressing Flowers! Garden Answer Toujour: As much as I was happy amd anxiously awaiting this press I now totally disappointed. Ordered 2 of them 6 weeks ago. Upon checking the delivery date I was told the date was June. Today I called to check again and was told delivery wasn't expected till October 2020 because they don't usually deal with this order or supplier. Maybe you should check your dealer's/suppliers before you make us all vulnerable to monies being spent with no guarantee of receiving.

If you like the books for pressing idea, go to the thrift store and purchase cheap huge heavy books! I also went to our local countertop retail place, and asked for some small samples of quartz samples (most stores don't need the samples back of quartz samples. they are SO heavy! I make a homemade 'press' using these for weight. and newspaper for the blotting paper.

I do what your Grandmother did. I am always finding things in books or magazines. Not very forward thinking on my part because it means I must thumb through everything before I share or put away or get id of anything! Oh well-spur of the moment and it's like she's dropping: lovelies: into your life! What a cool thing! TS

Laura, would you consider creating another beautiful pressed flower arrangement or other craft with the flowers? I have 2 of those presses & have been pressing off & on all Spring & Summer. It is a fun and enjoyable project for me. I press flowers on special dates (granddaughter's birth, etc. XOX

I have a small flower press with screws that I bought with my Grandma when we went to an antique warehouse/big thrift store last year. Ive just finished prepping for my first pressed flower diy in a long time, its filled me with joy! Thank you for inspiring me to get out into the garden this morning!

I dried flowers after watching your video. I left in press for four weeks. They were flowers from my mother's funeral. The bigger flowers molded so I am assuming there was too much water in them. Today I brought daisies home from a funeral. How can I press to keep their shape and color?

How do you press and save flowers just for memories, not to make anything with? I know the old fashioned way in a big book, but how do you do it so they look pretty and can be kept in a scrap book labeled from each occasion? Do you have a video on that by any chance?

I would seriously recommend you make a video showing how to tighten it! It's a common thread of confusing amongst buyers and the website provides no instructions. I had to fiddle around with it for a minute before I finally figured it out

I saw some videos that suggest spraying 70% alcohol to the flowers before pressing to prevent them from getting moldy. Can someone tell me whether this step is really necessary? Because I don't see her do it in this video. Thank you!

If you are worried about your book pages- because i LOVE having big tome volumes of books with flowers pressed between the pages- use wax paper! The excess water will stain the wax paper weird colours but wont damage your book
