Hot Wheels Miniature Garden Garden Answer Trisha: This Video brought forth a very fond memory of my childhood. very strange that I never thought about it till now. My Dad loved to garden. He brought home a very large old tree trunk & put it in a flower bed. Moss grew on & around it. There were many different plants. I would play with my little dolls & pretend that was their forest home. There was a hollow in the log & my dad made trails around for them to walk. It was one of the most treasured places in the yard. My mom passed when I was 11 years old & that was my sanctuary. Create a spot for you little boy to play with his toys (cars) like the hot wheels planter but bigger where he can get down there & play. His imagination will soar! And oh the memories!

I'm new to doing miniature gardening. How do you water the actual plants? How much water do you give in those types of containers? Where is the drainage? I noticed some plants look like they don't have a root system. What types do you recommend to plant for miniature gardens? I live near Reno, NV. I would like to do miniature displays for our front porch and of course, inside, on our north facing window (my other plants love that window. I have a prayer plant that actually bloomed tiny white flowers. I hope you are doing well with your pregnancy and please rest. Yay with your girl! Benjamin will be a proud big brother! Congratulations!

Thank you for this video! My boys, 3 and 5, watch all your videos with me. They especially love your fairy garden videos. I am always trying to find boy garden ideas and this is adorable! We will be making one this weekend! One question I had was, to make the roads, do you think you could use plaster Paris and do you have to use photo paper? Thanks so much for the inspiration and can you do a dinosaur one next?

Hi Laura, your little boy is gorgeous, love seeing him with his cars. The garden is lovely. When my boys were little we used pvc piping in the sandpit for their cars. You can use the angle corners and just cut pipe pieces for them to join up and arrange. You can also put the hose through as well on hot days. Cheap and lots of fun.

Im a special education teacher and that kid is off to a great start! Benjamin reading stop is an example of environmental print awareness. Its an important pre-literacy skill. Hes on his way to becoming a reader! Keep it up, Mom and Dad! Hell soon be reading logos and shop signs you visit frequently, such as Andrews, I expect.

Totally gasped when I just saw this thumbnail! Laura I thought of a question for you when I was driving home! What roses are the best kind for cut flower arrangements and bouquets? Like theres so many different names and types and idk which would have the straightest stem or the least amount of thorns. Any tips?

Many years from now, Benjamin will probably look back on videos like this and be so grateful that you have created things like this for him. It is a bit of his world in yours and vice versa.
