DIY Dried Flower Resin Candles Garden Answer Garden: These are so beautiful! Am DEFINATELY going to make. One quick question, in one of the videos you told us where you found the pattern for the blanket in your sunroom. I wrote it down and it vanished. I have been going over your videos and have been rewatching them for the last two days and cannot find the name of the pattern. If you would please be so kind and let me know where it came from. I am having a major surgery on my foot soon and will not be able to put any weight on it for at least eight weeks. I would love something to occupy my time with during this time. If you would be so kind and let me know where to find the pattern I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you Laura and Aaron. I look forward to your videos every morning.

Like many others, Im wondering how this burns for long periods. I wouldnt give them away unless they can stand up to burning the whole candle in one go. Does the resin go soft, discolour or crack with a long burn?
I want to make resin candle holders for a pillar candle and skip the glass altogether but Ive read candles and resin dont mix well because it cracks when heated unevenly and can partly melt. Looking into high-temperature resin (I. e. brominated) for this application.
If you do another resin video please explain/show what youre using for a respirator. Its an important detail that people will overlook otherwise.

Could you do a part 2/3: just wondering if we skipped the resin, but put water in where the resin is. also. I have seen people buying a big bag of soy wax. then doing something like this where the flowers are up against the glass. then soywax is poured in. just love ideas like this using pressed flowers. which I will start this spring!

Hi there, I wonder if you or anyone can help me. I have just been into a store to look at some candles. They had resin in them like the ones in this video, but it was like a gel, I could press it and squish it. it wasn't like the normal hard resin you get, can anyone tell me what it is please? thank you

I watched your videos about plants and gardens. I was so happy to see that you have a video on how to make resin candle holder. They are so beautiful. Before I go ahead and give it a try, could you tell me how the resin tolerate heat? will they melt if I burn a candle inside? thank you so much

Such a cute idea! I am preparing to make my candles now. My candle is separate from the votto jar it sits in. I would like to be able to burn the candle often and reuse. The way your is, are you able to burn the candle and replace with another? Thank you for ALL your Inspiration!

Love these! I made the resin paperweights but thinking that resin may not work for these as I remember having to do it outside as it was really stinky.
Any thoughts on that anyone?
Enjoyed meeting you at the Northwest Flower show. You are just the sweetest.

I want to do a Mother's Day workshop and make these. Does anyone have any experience with another resin that isn't so expensive that works well? I could have up to 25 in a workshop and that resin would get pricey. Thanks in advance! LOVE this idea! Thanks Laura!

FYI: I would check the resin you're using. Some have high VOC's and should he used in a well ventilated area and require a respirator. Not sure about the brand you're using but just wanted to mention it. Not a lot of people are aware

Hi Laura! This was so much fun! I wonder if using the flameless candles would work in some votive cups? They'd be so much easier, and safer, to use. Thank you so much for all of your DIY videos! You give us some great ideas!
