Full Day of Garden Maintenance: Pruning, Planting & Making Mint Iced Tea! Garden Answer Girlscout: its kinda funny, both me and my boyfriend are something called pre-pensionist, which is basicly just being retired at a young age because we are quite sick. So we are always home! its a blessing and a curse. We wish we could work but you just gotta find something else to do. But now the whole world is retired and its fun to see how people react. ofcourse the reason behind it is not funny, but its kinda nice that the world is slowed down a bit. I hope people learn something from it. I also wanted to say not only do you guys inspire me to garden when im well enough, but when im not well, i started to learn how to knit because i want to some day be able to knit that beautiful blanket you have made! So thank you for being there for all of us

Laura I have a problem and need your help. I am starting my new garden this year and I have clay soil in Texas. I went and bought some compost with manure thinking that was the way to go. I made a mistake, it's to heavy and holds water. Lucky for me I only planted 3 small Azalys and did everything right but they are thining out. That's when iij realized my mistake. Azalys do not like wet feet. I am thinking I should go get more compost without manure and add Pinbark Conditioner to it. I have not mixed the clay soil up in it all of this sets on top but i think that more compost along with the conditioner will fix it. Tell me what you would do, Help!

Hi Laura, :)
I'm having a hard time getting rid of my hydrangeas they look super dry. I noticed you shaved a little bit of the bark wood on your butterfly bush. Could I do the same for the hydrangea? To see if it has life inside? I cut them back sooner than I needed to, and I think I messed up.
I also remind myself what you said in an earlier video. Something along the lines of: Don't stress about trying to revive a plant that's dead. Sometimes we just have to let them go.

Hi Laura. Thank you for keeping up on the videos you guys are the best. I'm gonna share my mom's secret sweet tea recipe. 1 full tea kettle boiling water, 9 tea bags steeped til room temp. 1 orange cut in half and squeezed 1 lemon cut in half and squeezed. I add about 1/2 cup of sugar add squozen (sp? word) anyhoo I add the fruit halves to the pitcher. Oh and I add the sugar when the water is hot so the sugar melts. You'd be surprised at what that orange does.

Wow being forced to get all your own work done and more we have to look at that as a positive. I watch Laura Eubanks she does landscaping in southern California and is doing her own garden. They also have a stay in place order. It's great to see her yard and see all the pretty things. I hope Aaron brings us back for just a peek day of all you accomplished this spring later on in the fall. Stay healthy you 3. Hugs from Minnesota

Laura! Have I got a tip for you! In order to accommodate the extra long roots of sweet peas, I sowed the seeds in TOILET PAPER ROLLS! It worked perfectly! (I started saving rolls last fall. I recently planted them outside and in the roll. leaving the toilet paper roll to dissolve in the soil. They look great and from sowing the seed to planting in ground was only 18 days! Do you see a downside to this Laura?

Dear Laura and Aaron, thank you so much for the helpful video (Benjamin is so adorable. May I ask if you could please direct me to which video you've previously done that shows and discusses the trees you have on your property? I'm in the mode of researching and planting trees on a new property and could use some good visual references. Thank you.

Can you tell us where its from - Ive been looking for a bigger long spout watering can for my seedling trays and houseplants or how about a video on watering cams! Love these random videos as this is how my days are spent! And my hour lunch at noon from working at home: )

These random type days seem to be more of the norm lately. Each one of your videos has some inspiration. I was on the fence about growing any mint this year, but now I'm convinced. You have me thinking about peach colored flowers and peach flavored tea!
