First Tree Load of 2021! Garden Answer Richard: With all the newer varieties of apples, I was glad to hear you mention the Gravenstein. In my pre-teen years in Seattle, we had two huge ones producing large apples we ate fresh, and mom canned applesauce, and mom's apple cobbler was the best! The canopy sheltered a quarter of our large lot from summer heat and prolonged play time when the rain started. And of course I didn't limit climbing just to harvest time. The only maintenance I recall was removal of tent caterpillars before they matured. We moved 60 years ago to make way for I-5 freeway. Thanks for the memory.

So I just had this incredible vision of Laura walking through these trees while 2 people stand looking out the window towards her. 1 person sees 1 person looking at all the trees and chatting away to herself/or her phone, and another person sees 1 person followed by THOUSANDS of us listening to her chat away about each tree. Can you see it? A cartoon artist could have fun with this image (it probably exists out there somewhere I'm sure. We love you Laura and would listen to you chat away about probably anything and everything.

Aaron has fabulous Laura likes filter! When wifey is enamored he smiles his happy wife happy life smile. His upbringing was obviously top notch. Happy belated. thanks for the tree insight. we have nearly 4 suburban acres in 7a 30 miles south of DC and it's all giant HOA monitored blank slate lawns. Our new home is the obvious corner lot n needs shade, privacy, winter interest n fall color! We plan to show off a bit n hopefully make trees trend. our Vista Bubblegums made us super popular last 2 seasons so TSMFS in fun detail!

I love your videos so much. Im a beginner gardener from South Texas trying to learn as much as I can. When you get so excited/delighted about the new plants and pretty flowers you snagged from the greenhouse it makes me smile cause I feel the same way thinking about planting beautiful things now that my husband and I are finally homeowners! Were in a very different zone but I still love your videos and the great information you share. Plus your adorable family Thanks for bringing some joy and positivity into my 2021!

What about adding sugar maple for your own syrup, We had Black Walnut before took it forever to grow but the wood after harvesting is beautiful? . What about a Skid Loader? It could do everything for you also they have tons of attachments. A Nice thing about weeping willow is you can use the wood for rooting compound just by soaking the leaves in water chopped up or the sawdust is what some that you buy in the store are.

we have 2 calpata trees and I know I am not spelling that right. sorry, but they get HUGE! The leaves are bigger then your head and they get long beans on them. I have 2 that we got from the mother tree that lived at my mother in law's house. Mine is already and only about 3 or 4 years old are at least 40 to 50 feet high. Ps. I live in Pennsylvania.

Long time watcher, love your videos. Please, please make a video about what you glossed over at 6: 50-7: 04: start with bone structure first (winter interest and shade trees) and work down from there to smaller trees/large shrubs, then perennials. I would be so interested in this as Im mapping out my back property line.

Highly recommend a Black Cherry (Prunus Serotina, they are a host to over 450 species of butterfly and moths, the fruit is tart but edible for wildlife and people (think pies or jelly. They get very large like 80ft tall and 50 ft wide I believe. So I guess this would be an Aaron comment lol Sorry girl, love you both.

actually got hubby to watch this! and then he watched a few more with me - shocked to say the least however it was more your hubbys issue with the fork lift. we have all sorts of tractors here - so he needs the fork lift attachment - no fork lift is really stable of gravel! and a tractor wont tear up the drive

Love the video. Happy Belated Birthday Aaron! So excited to see the trees on the new property. Laura have you seen the flame throwee redbuds? They are gorgeous. You guys should check them out. They are hard to find hut worth it. We just planted one last year and the leaves have multiple fall colors all year!
