How I Fertilize Flowers and Vegetables! Garden Answer Linda: Laura, you are so inspiring! My plants look better than ever this season because I have learned so much from your videos. I have a couple of questions: Is it possible to use too much fertilizer and if so how would I know? What would over fertilized plants look like? How do I keep my container annuals looking good all summer? As we are getting into the hot, hot, humid time of the season my flowers tend to poop out. Should I be cutting them back? What should I do? Does your advice for weekly feeding of annuals apply to blooming perennials (like coral bells? Thanks so much. Keep up the good work!

I am in south-eastern Washington, high desert, zone 7b. I have been binging your videos all weekend. I recently bought my first house and have a lovely flower garden thanks to the previous home owners. I planted a vegetable garden and its done ok but I realized I should have bio-toned. But I used it in my containers I planted today and just got garden-tone to put in the garden! Thanks for the help!

I have a question to ask about side dressing vegetables later in the growing season (about two months after planting transplants. If you put down pine wood chips over the soil to protect them from drying out too much from hot weather, how to you apply the granular fertilizer? Or should I instead find an organic water soluble fertilizer that will go through the wood chips to the plants?

I love all of your videos, this is one of my favorite videos. Love all the plants and flowers you have. I am new at gardening and my very first garden bed which has bell peppers and new broccoli seedings is infested with white flies. I have sprayed neem oil, vinegar, and other stuff but they do not go away. How do I keep that stuff away? I'd appreciate your response.

I used the garden tone for my vegetable garden and my husky went crazy and somehow got in my garden and ate all the vegetables so I started again and I just worked in the potting mix and planted but when I used the garden tone as a feeder for the garden and she got in again?
Why does my dog go crazy with the garden tone smell?
Please help

I took a soil sample of my vegetable garden and brought it in to be tested. Last fall I fertilized with pen manure from dairy heifers.
My ph is 7. 80, phosphorus 148. 84 ppm, potassium 574. 00 ppm and magnesium is 215. 00 ppm. My guess is Im all set for the year and wont need to fertilize

I was hoping to find this very video! I always hear you say that you fertilize once every two weeks. When I am reading the back of my fertilizer it says once every six months. Im a little lost to tell you the truth but Im gonna keep listening hopefully Ill find out what I need to do.

Thank you. You have been an inspiration and full of knowledge. My garden gets a lot of compliment and we are enjoying all the blossoms. I bought the starter fertilizer and I guess I still have to fertilize more. :. My containers are full of flowers blooming. Thank you again.

What does the claim of organic really mean here? I hear the definitions are vague and easy to game. Can you explain why you trust the ones using the name organic as safer? With scientific references, please. If you don't know, aren't you really paying big extra $ for a scam?

I live 5 minutes from Gardener's Supply Co. But, having a difficult time finding PW continuous release and water soluble plant food. The cost of shipping is more than the products at the PW site. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
