Working on the Flower Bed Behind the Chicken Coop! Garden Answer Laurene: Laura, Your foxglove peach and light lavender looks beautiful. I'm an 'old' interior designer which thinks I should have been a garden designer! I just don't have the energy it takes anymore. The shed looks good with nothing on the right side it cause's the eye to look at the flowers more. The simplicity of the fountain is also perfect. Then the blueish /lavender petunia's with the foxgloves is perfect. They compliment each other! Just Lovely my friend! My favorite so far!

Question: Im a newbie to gardening and gotten to love it since I started watching you. You made it look fun and accessible! Didnt think Id be able to grow anything at all! But my question is about fertilizing. So you fertilize when you first plant a perennial. Do you apply that same perennial at some other point in time? A year later, or six month later, etc. or do you switch to a different fertilizer? Thanks so much, Laura!

Our Elephant ears (zone 8) are voracious! We've tried to eliminate them in one area of the yard because they were taking over and they keep coming back. We do like them and now when they come back they are more compact and actually fit the space - lol. The leaves are large and very tropical looking. Our neighbor asked us for a few cuttings and used the leaves as a mold to fashion a beautiful clay container! Enjoy yours!

Thanks so much for all you do. So jealous of your place. This is one of my favorite flower beds ( I think I say that every time, hu) After lifting the pineapple off the fountain and laid it on the ground, I realized i had to tell myself to breath. Held my breath the whole time. I did not need that stress, thank you. :-) Can you please do a video on dividing AND pruning the white Veronica, please?

That is so beautiful! I love elephant ears and last year I was inspired by the way you put pots together. I put mojito elephant ears, which are really dark with the burgundy oxalis, diamond frost euphorbia, wandering Jew and white impatience, and creeping jenny. It was glorious! I couldnt quit looking at it, beautiful combination!

Some deep purple liatris would be amazing with those Fox gloves!
I can't get any of the killer with the brush around here. where can I find it? And the sucker punch? A neighbor has a hawthorn they cut down, now the roots have destroyed our driveway and it's taken over our yard. How to deal with that? Help?

I know that this is an old video so I'm hoping that you'll see this question. What is the brand of water wand that you're using? It's exactly the kind that I'm looking for. I love the way the water comes out. Thank you.

Question about the fountain. How do you get the pump to not get plugged up with bird stuff? Would you suggest applying some sort of filter around that pump? Help. I have burnt out 2 pumps due to the birds.
