All the Fall Colors in One Container! Garden Answer Trace: I love this video, I am so ready to get to the Farmer's Market this Saturday to get my Fall\Winter pansies and ornamental kale. Fall seems to be coming on time this year in NC, last year, we were still in low 90s in early October. I felt cheated. Right now, we are low 80s into the 70s, so I am much happier. Also, I think Cheddar is becoming an extrovert, for the longest time it was mainly just Russell that inserted himself into videos. Cheddar seems to be coming out his shell, which is good for us, the viewers.

Something you said at the end really caught my ear -- the idea of watering plants in containers through the winter. Can you elaborate on this? Last year, the perennial herbs I had in small nursery pots died over the winter. I'm in a zone 5 and not sure how to water when the weather's near/at/below freezing and going through freezing/thawing cycles.

Best part of the video - 7: 51-7: 54 Her personality is coming out more, LOOOOOVE IT! Aaron, thank you for the closer shot this time! I can now see that Laura does not dig the well deep enough to have the container soil level with the top of the plant. its like just covering 3/4 of the bottom of the plant- GREAT to catch that this time!

I know probably not the best place to state this but I hope you and your family are safe. I know you have a sister who lives a little bit away in Oregon and certainly hope you are safe from the fires. Prayers to you and your family and friends that are dealing with this terrible tragedy and hope you are all safe.

Your container looks charming. I got a few grasses like blue mohawk (hardy to zone 5, corkscrew in containers which are perennials for me since I am in zone 6. When is the best time to transplant those on ground? PW recommends transplanting in spring but will they survive the winter in resin large containers?

I see that you love purple fountain grass on your containers. Do you recommend this grass better for containers than for your landscape? I would like to plant one in my landscape but I dont want it to get to big and invasive. Or witch grass would you recommend better for landscape? Please advise. Thank you.

You may have addressed this but I admit I haven't watched as much this past week. How close are the fires to you and your family and parents and siblings? I'm partial to you but pray for all the people out West who are being affected by these fires. May God keep you all safe!

Thankfully that I found you during this past challenging week in the Willamette Valley with the wildfires; super surprised that I hadn't found you before! Looking forward to watching much, much more for inspiration for days to come! Take care and thank you!
